I had to pull myself away from this pond and stream. It was magical, I could have played with the dragonflies and the native fish much longer.

Lovely pond and stream showcase. I love the fairy doors being built in such a nice touch for the homeowners grandchildren. The home owner is certainly living the aquascape lifestyle! Well done Tom this is a master piece.

I love it! Can you give a ballpark figure for how much a pond this size might cost?
@ThePondAdvisor2 жыл бұрын
This is a great question, so many variables, sealed bids only lol. Only joking this project started with the pond and then changed I believe. I will ask Tom what the base price was. I have written a few articles on the cost of aquatic art.

Nice big project, I was hoping to see more film shots of the rocks and the installation process but enjoyed the video regardless. I would say I noticed a lot of spots around the project where there is cement present….I think with a little more effort this could be avoided. Fake cement rocks and cement to cover the liner. It seemed to me like you focused more of the shots on zoomed in nature shots to a avoid the iffy bits of the job. With that being said the customer seemed happy with the finished project and it was clearly a massive change to what was there before the installation. As an aqua scraper I always try to naturalise the aquasacaping as much as possible by limiting exposed cement patches and maximising natural scapegoat and placement. From a drone view the scale seems very artificially placed. I’m sure on foot level it’s a beautiful project but I feel that it could have been blended in with the landscape a lot better, maybe planting of some taller trees and shrubs could have helped this project look more natural and the use of less cement/concrete and more natural stone being brought into the job. Thanks for your upload it’s been a great insight watching the video keep it up and keep making progress 💪😎

Thanks for the feedback. each to their own i guess, yes i wish we have more shots of the construction but no concrete or cement was used on this project, so not sure what your referring to its all natural stone and waterfall foam (which is black?).

I think it’s due to the filter on the film most look natural but then I could see some boulders looked quite light grey/blue I thought their was a mixture of faux rocks stone and natural stone. I was scratching my head wondering why the mixture?. I can see now on a second watch it’s the filter colour….anyways great work I’ve already shared the project with a couple of the landscape lads I work with. I’ll look forward to more project vids! If your interested Keith Kallfass has teamed up with an Aquascaper and released a decent length podcast it’s really informative if you search for it it’s titled “pondering waters”. 👍
