Great haul! love those pink stickers. I also love Chapman's ice cream I will have to look out for that coffee chip flavour. We were in dollar store today and saw those coconut chocolate bars too-first time noticing them. We bought them 2 for a dollar but they didn't come in a bag like yours-they were individual bars-quite large. Girls are so cute with their Barbie waterpark!!! Seems like all of you are enjoying your summer

@@RadiantHope04 yes, it actually does taste like coffee. I makw coffee squares, and this Icecream tastes just like them!! I definitely recommend it! 😋 The coconut bars are good. We have similar ones too, called bounty bars. 😊

Yay for no broken eggs this week 😂. Fun hunt for the kids to find the pink stickers at the Superstore ! Chapman’s is our favourite ice cream so we usually buy a few when they are on sale ( my husband eats ice cream every night 😂 ).I’ve never tried that pasta sauce before but I will definitely get some next time I’m at Walmart…..thanks for letting me know it’s good 👍. Maple is so sweet 💕

What a great grocery trip! Have you thought about introducing more beans to your family? Beans(season them) and jiffy corn bread, fried potatoes a good choice. Pinto beans topped with cheese for quesadillas etc.. generally a very affordable dinner time meal for feeding your family. Also, there are some great lentils recipes served over rice or couscous (the Near East brand the best but kinda on the high side)

Wow Lindsay, you had a great grocery haul this week, I can't believe how many 50% off coupons you and Audrey found, great job. It makes it a little easier to shop when you find good deals. We have been putting off groceries till our pensions come in, I was happy to find that mine came in today, yay, LOL we can eat again, but first I'll pay my portion of the rent. It's hard getting used to living on pensions alone, rather than a paycheck and my pension, but we will figure it out now that the husband is retired. I'm glad you were able to get some crayons for the kids, especially after that lady took so many of them, I always feel like when there is a good deal it's best to leave some for others to take. That coffee chip ice-cream sounds yummy, you'll have to let us know how it is. Oh and how fun for you all to get to have Maple for a visit, she looks like a beautiful dog. Thanks for sharing your haul and of course your beautiful family with us, I always love seeing the happy little faces of the kids. Have a great rest of your week!

@@TheMtggrl thanks, Tania. The discount stickers help offset the cost. I'm sure its an adjustment getting used to your new income, but I'm sure you'll adjust after a while. I remember when me and Dave first got married and he would get laid off every winter... We always had to have a few thousand dollars put away as our "lay off fund"... Things were harder back then. Maple is a sweet dog, she's very similar to my mom's dog, Sadie. The kids love when we dog sit. Emily was actually looking at her picture of Daisy yesterday and said "I miss Daisy, I wish she'd come home".😕Made me sad. I hope you're having a wonderful week! It's so hot and humid here!

Depends on the dollar store too if you go into great Canadian dollar store some things are expensive I find at Dollarama the Mr noodles , catelli spaghetti sauce etc is cheaper then grocery chains

How does the deposit on the canned drinks work? Do you take the empty cans back to the same store where you bought them, or is there some other central location they get returned to? And how do you get your deposit back?

@@alisondavidow1721 there is a recycling depot where we can take them. We usually count them before we go and they give you 5 cents back per can. They give you cash before you leave. We also recycle with our garbage, so if you don't want to bother going to the depot, you can put the cans out with your recycling, and not get any money back. 😊 Have a great week.

My husband is and first son was born in Halifax and I lived there for 8 years 🤎 Cheese here is $10-13 for a kilo block so 2 x 700g for $12 is better...we go through a lot of cheese lol It definitely looks like life has got much more expensive there than when we left in 2013...😬

@@lynnshell78 awww unfortunately we had to say goodbye to Daisy back in November. She got very sick suddenly. We did everything we could for her, but it was time to say goodbye. I didn't talk much about it on my channel because I just found it so hard to talk about. But that's why you haven't seen her. ❤️❤️😕

You really hit the jackpot with the 50% off sales. We live in hrm and gateway meat market is a lifesaver as far as meat and produce go. I'm not sure where you are in the province but I feel like you mentioned your mom went to Costco for you a few times..does she ever make a gateway stop, too? Disregard if I'm not remembering correctly about the costco trips lol the coffee chip sounds amazing!
