Nothing wrong with a 'Spoons. I do hate the snobbery that some folks have for them, they might not be fancy but the food is tasty enough and the beer is good and cheap! And seeing as my local 'Spoons is literally two minutes walk away from my flat, well, it'd be rude not to pop over a couple of times a week! 😁

Watching this reminds me that getting older isn't fun. I used to be able to destroy a mixed grill and a pudding no problem. Last one I had I couldn't even finish never mind pud. Growing old sucks! 😂😭😂

As you say great value for money,your not going to go to spoons if your a steak expert. I had the same meal not long ago and thoroughly enjoyed. Spoons are fantastic. Affordability is everything in this current climate and hats off to spoons for making that happen.👌

I have recently started buying gourmet sausages from a local luxury butcher. They are off the planet delicious but way too expensive to have with any frequency! Thank you for the video! Steak definitely overcooked.

The mushrooms are large but when added with butter before its cooked it shrinks if not youd end up with a big raw mushroom

@@nickaxe771 each to their own Nick, I don't see it as my loss. I'd rather give a couple of quid more to an independent pub and help keep that in business. As we're seeing at the moment, when trade isn't so good a lot of Wetherspoons around the country are closing, having already forced a lot of independents to close over the years in those towns. I'd rather those pubs were still there. Plus I think Tim Martin is an appalling character, and I hate his blue and white plates 🙂

Customers are not forced to eat at spoons....the other pubs could not compete.....thats the way it goes....they need to sort out there prices.....if they were real good they would not close. Currently in Wetherspoons Bexleyheath. My first ever experience. Observations: - the food us cold and unappetising - a kid crawling under my table whilst the tattoed parent looks on in pride - another parent has just run their trolly load of kids into me, not a word of apology - screeching and hollering is the norm I cant see what is so attractive to people.

Normally now in Wetherspoon's the meats are that thin you don't have the choice how to cook them. Normally massed cooked and warmed when required , on a busy day they never keep up with supplies and demand.

I live in Bradford that's one place I won't be going to lol I'm 64 and I have to be honest that was no mixed grill it was missing liver it should be mushrooms, not a single with 2 sausages minimum and those cuts were far too small used to be a boast when some places had mixed grill on the menu if you can eat it all you get it free best I think iv ever had was white swan in Alnwick and your right they should have asked how you like your steak I have been told Wetherspoons fish and chips are pretty good tho thanks for sharing m8

Hi, I thought I would let you know that I work at a restaurant called the bath house lowestoft restaurant in lowestoft which In fact they do fish and chips only cod im Afraid. Prices are still very good thank goodness the bangers and mash has only gone up by £2 in 7 years since i last went to a spoons , sadly where i live they all being closed down for coffee shops , not good ,Anywhere near London they all closing.

In our town ,our Wetherspoons terrible , the mixed grills are burnt and rock hard , don’t go in anymore , bits 6 miles up road from us , there food is stunning ,it’s the chefs , but for the price you’ve paid that’s nice that food

You are right about the chefs though Maureen. I go to a few spoons but one in particular I never have a meal. A couple of the kitchen staff look like they don't know what a shower or bath look like.

I'll never ever get another mixed grill from wetherspoons, can't cook a steak. Ask for it medium well, comes out rare. so rubbery, the fork won't go into it 😂 terrible, brekkies and pizzas are good value though. But if you like a steak very very under cooked or blue, you're laughing
