@@grimreapers thanks man. I don’t even have this game but the videos are intriguing. I often wonder from my cockpit (toilet seat) what the future conflicts will look like. Will the F22 go toe to toe with the Chinese.

Great battle Cap, those AIM 260's look like they are far more deadly at a distance, the higher lofting seems to have corrected the energy problem they had before when shot at long range!
@Fatallydisorganized Жыл бұрын
I wonder if having the JATAM loft will make it harder to avoid now. Peregrine could be even more dangerous. Maybe testing the difference between the no-loft and the loft versions could be interesting, especially against humans.
@Thewhitetile Жыл бұрын
The peregrine has always been loft. It was the first missile that I worked on from new. That is the only reason it has the range that it does. It lofts massively to get the range that it has. It is not as powerful as the aim-120C but has a much larger range. For that reason it is not very good if it is not fired from altitude.

Apart from the defecting Raptor, It looks like everything else went right except the SEAD Vipers and strike birds making it out of the target area. I would've ordered a mission abort the moment those SA-13s woke up. If you had additional F-35s packing SDBs, those SA-13s wouldn't've been a problem. You could've left the Vipers out of this altogether since the F-35 was made to replace the F-16. Now that SAM systems can set traps, Think DEAD not SEAD. I have no idea if ADM-160 has this feature, but it makes sense to my smooth brain that the MALD should take evasive maneuvers when targeted? Is that possible to program into a mod and I wonder how that'd impact PK on MALDs. If I'm controlling a SAM and I paint a fighters that continues to fly dumb, straight and level, that might be a giveaway as to what are the decoys?
@Fatallydisorganized Жыл бұрын
Even decoys in the Cold War could maneuver to replicate a real aircraft. especially because an aircraft isn't normally going to just ignore being locked. If it could be done in DCS it wouldn't change much since the maneuvering is really to fool the operator of the SAM site into firing. and DCS SAM sites are very dumb even if they are dangerous.

So a weird question, do you reckon if they modernised an F4 with an AESA Radar and the best missiles we have atm (ignore the whole "it wouldn't be compatable" bit that's not the point), that it would perform better today than it did when the phantom came out originally. The problem with the phantom was it was a bus but the combat was too close range (IR was still very prevalent and radar missiles were only semi active limited to a few miles). Dogfighting is a bit of a thing of the past now so it makes me wonder if the phantom was just really poorly designed for the time period and would have done a lot better later on. US side: 2x carrier strike groups (2025 or 2030), combined 5th and 4th gen aircraft. Russian side: 1x carrier, 1x kirov 1x slava, 4x or 6x frigate. 4x K-300p batteries, s400 batteries with pansir and possibly 1x battery of s350, 12x bombers, various fighter/multirole squadrons (from airfields not carrier) and finally 2-4 awacs. So... is this at all realistic without 400 sub and destroyer launched cruise missiles arriving 10 minutes before the USAF?

You know, most people on this planet never experienced the horrors of war firsthand. A lot of people glorify war, and jerk themselves off to whatever new weapons are coming out. They play video games which simulate war, and feel good about their little victories within the simulations. They forget that real war vets often times refuse to speak after they return from hell. They literally stop talking, because the real thing is much, much different from the fantasies in civilian heads. Pray to God that the simulation remains a simulation, because war is nasty, war is ugly, war is brutal, war is grotesque.

Nice concept but how did Russia get 12 su57s and usaf half with f22 & f35 ? In all reality usaf does a 3:1 ratio on missions

This is really cool, I just hope people keep in mind this is not at all reflective of how a conflict between US and Iran would actually play out and while really fun, is a game still. We can't comprehend how hard it would actually be to subdue iran if we decided to actually go to war with them. If you think 20 years only to lose in afghanistan was bad, Iran is basically uninvadable unless you're willing to commit literally your entire military strength. Iran is a literal fortress built into a massive mountain range. They're also not REALLY our "enemies" they're just the excuse we need to stay involved in middle eastern affairs. Iran is really the more moderate of the sects of islam, and ironically it's our allies in saudi arabia who spread the wahhabism sect which is the entire root cause of the extremism in islam. I don't mean to get preachy, I know people are just here for the fun and I am too, I just want everyone to remember that war sims are still just sims annd not something we should aspire to reenact in real life or a reflection of any kind of realism in an actual war time setting.

Nice battle plan and video but the war in Ukraine has taught us that the Russians are not able to have SAM sites active while they are flying because they shoot their own aircraft down.

Have any modders made F-15 skins/liveries in Decepticon Seeker colors? That'd be kind fantastic.
