This is the one of the best model rail roads. The attention to detail and design aspects are amazing. The dam is cool and all the tiny detail, like the guy in the kayak in the water. Very cool. The car-with the family-camper on the hill. The industrial area, the track detail, with the color of the dirt. Even the moss on the rocks. So much attention to detail. Outstanding.

My 5-year-old and I really liked this layout talk about some detail good job sir. Also everybody complaining about them running fast I for one like them going fast I hate it when they go too slow. My 5-year-old said me too.
@Skillfulljack23Ай бұрын
if it goes too fast. it can cause to derailment because it very light and easy enough to fall off the tracks.

It is great to see the club still operational. I was in the club from 1980 to 1993 and built the clubhouse layouts and clubhouse at the old fairgrounds in Ft Pierce. Obviously the firehouse was a great opportunity to get a home long term. Layout looks great.

Fascinating. Not my hobby but fun to watch. Outsider question; in this and other like videos I always see single engine trains. In real life the majority are2, 3 or more power units in tandem. Why not with HO models? Do the engines have slightly different speeds that are not easily synced? Love of railroads came from growing up with a grandfather, born in 1890 who worked on the C, B & Q and the D & R-G in Colorado and Wyoming in the very early 1900's. I have an incredible photo of him and his work mate standing on their repair car, It had a small shed on one end for living. He talked about spending weeks in that shed stranded out on the Wyoming Prairie during an extended blizzard. When I was a boy he would drive me to the nearest rail station to watch the trains go by. Great memories.

A very well built layout, one of the best I ever saw! Yet I am not sure if these tracks in green kept green so long, I just don't know. Your freight trains could have been 50% longer, it would have made them more realistic just as at the one leaving at 14.49! I do miss more signals on this layout, it would have made the layout more realistic too. Absolutely loved the Rock Island locomotive and the number of different cabooses! What I really think you should re-consider is this tramway that not only runs very unrealistic at such a high speed but also refuses to stop anywhere at all even though there are no stops made for it!

Hello from Romania and thank you. My son loves model railroad videos and was very happy to watch it. On a separate note: please ask the camera operator to set a fixed white balance for the shoot. The color balance changes so often in this video, many times within the same shot, that it really is disturbing.
@wizardofodds82394 жыл бұрын
Good comment, Boros! I noticed it too. Also suggest do not hand-hold the camera...that's what Tripods are for. I call Tripods the "up-chuck preventer!" Hands/arms are to be used for hugging, and holding bottles of one's favorite beverage.

Not enough precision to the pinpointed time in history that this RR was supposed to have existed. This looks like a northeast industrial city of the 50s with steam, then a Tri-Rail Commuter from South Florida whizzed by?

I must praise the camera man who managed to film all trains so jt was impossible to see if there were any passengers or train crew on board any of these trains. This side of the modelling always lets the side down, so the models may be fantastic, but the realism leaves a lot to be desired. People everywhere except on any of the ghost trains. So not nearly as good as you thought you were eh? From a retired train driver.

not to be critical and it is without doubt a beautiful layout (I would suggest maybe a little loco weathering) and I have to ask, why do you run the trains so fast? slow things down for a much more realistic presentation. Well done however!

Wonderful - amazing - outstanding. Very impressive. I can only dream of having such skill. But, I have to ask. Why do all model railroaders operate trolleys at Mach 8? Everything else including the train speed is to scale. But, wow! A ride on that trolley is guaranteed whiplash.

Funny how a little diesel switcher engine is pulling about 7 or 8 cars and it's passed by a main line engine with only caboose going the other way . HA Great layout .

@davidcurtis53985 жыл бұрын
Looks like a great layout. Why didn't you put the uncoupling magnets under the track so they didn't show? The reason I don't have any sound in any of my locos is the fact that the engine 2106 sounds like a steamer to me...Love the turn table and round house. Wish I had the room.. Wow beautiful "everything" at the 3:06 time.. Do you need any more "Rock Island" engines as I have one like the 433 and a new "F" unit that I can not use. They have the guts for DCC running and have the "keep alive" parts??.
