Wow! I grew up on the coast and ain’t ever seen a redfish as beautiful as that one. That tannic water really does make the difference.

A few minutes outside of San Antonio, Tx we have 2 lakes that have Redfish and Bass as well. Braunig and Calaveras lake.

I’ve casted it on a few different ones. I’ve found a little shorter rod than I normally use works a little better, something in the 6’8” to 6’10” range, medium heavy fast or extra fast. Stiffer rods cast lighter lures better in my opinion. I’ve been casting it on either a Shimano or Curado. I’m using either 20, 25 or 30# braid with a 12 to 15# flouro leader and a Mustad Grip Pin hook in 2/0 or 3/0.
