Larger BRAIDLOCS | Why I took down my last set of 460 smaller locs | my loc count and more!

Thank you for sharing. I'm about to do my DIY microlocs! About 300 is the amount of locs I want (more or less) I'm doing braidlocs and I will have them installed by March 31, 2023. I'm still watching videos and reading before I start, but I will do the parting in the next few days.

Thanks for taking us along. Realistically (I know everyone is different and some people are blessed with hands that fly) but if you're shooting for 8 hours or less on a self-retie, you want no more than 250 locs at most. Even that is pushing it. You might be more confident about finishing in 8 hours if you're closer to 200 and you don't go more than 6 weeks between reties.

Thanks for sharing! A lower number makes sense. I was able to do about 340 in 5 hours (over two days), and I was really focused during that time. 🤣

I love the looks of sisterlocks too but I hate that in my case they are not that noticeable just yet. My hair now looks very much like a wash and go

Your locs look exactly how they should! Coincidently, I saw a black woman on Chicago PD and she had sisterlocks, but it also looked like a wash n go. I was confused (just for a sec!) and mesmerized. 🥰
