Ok, I have watched 3 videos on how to make an oversized image from other popular subscribers. I found yours and so grateful! You made it to be so easy with less steps to make. I am very new to Cricut and I had to tackle an oversized image for my first project. I did it! Thank You, I will be watching more of our videos!

Thanks for the tutorial. I have. few questions, I am wondering what method did you find to be easier, the plastic board or the wood? I don't have hot knife, Do you know of another recommended way to cut the plastic board? I will be working on a Silhouette, do you If there is anything I should be aware of before I get started? Lastly, I am thinking about doing Jack Skellington from Nightmare before christmas, Do you think that is too ambitious? Sorry for all of the questions and again, thank you for the great idea and tutorial.
@CorinneBlackstone3 жыл бұрын
The plastic was actually easier than the wood. No painting or sealing of the plastic is needed.

Did you use vinyl & the same method as with Olaf for the bird, bulb, & flag attachments?

Do u recommend a resolution of the images were making bigger ..so don't look fuzzy?
@CorinneBlackstone Жыл бұрын
You want to use a image with a decent resolution. I’ve not had issues of fuzzy images at all when doing this because I always find great quality PNGs

I love the information on this video. I have watched it couple of times. I am wondering if it possible for you to do a video on how you cut the plastic. I have so much of this plastic. I have tried a hot knife and find it just melted and made for very rough edges. Please any advice you can share would be greatly appreciated.
@CorinneBlackstone2 жыл бұрын
I show it in the video. I used a hot knife then I took some sand paper to the rough edges (sand paper wasn’t shown)

Why are you adding the circles on top of him? You didn't say... did you? Sorry, but I'm brand new to Cricut and am going to attempt to make this as my FIRST project and can't seem to make sense of why that process needs to be done or what it actually does? I look forward to hearing from you. 😉
@CorinneBlackstone2 жыл бұрын
As I discuss in the video the circles are used to slice out parts of him that have tighter areas around other portions of his body so we are not left with weird small parts we have to try and piece together
@joyscranfield55273 жыл бұрын

@@CorinneBlackstone I just haven't been able to figure it out so it isn't just flat. Can you figure it out???
@CorinneBlackstone3 жыл бұрын
@@joyscranfield5527 I would just use a piece of white plastic for the bottom to make it like he’s a puddle on the ground then have part of his body coming out of that. Attach them with e6000

It's better to cut the corrugated plastic using a laser cutter first, then apply the vinyl. The edges will look way better!
@CorinneBlackstone2 жыл бұрын
Well when you don’t have a laser cutter you have to use what ya got :) this worked fine
