The Financial District of Toronto is the central business district. It is bounded roughly by Queen Street West, Yonge Street, Front Street and University Avenue. The district is Toronto's most built-up area, with major banks, corporate headquarters, accounting firms, and a system of underground walkways known as PATH. I walk through this area during the evening rush hour, and saw tons of people on the streets as they ended their workday. I start at Union Station and then make my way over to the rest of the Financial District.

How do people in Toronto dress better than New Yorkers??? New York City is the fashion capital of the entire American hemisphere!! 😂😂😂🤪 Of course Toronto is calmer because it has 6 million less people than NYC....lol Toronto compares to Chicago not New York City. London compares well with NYC because both have over 8 million people and both are packed with amenities far more than Toronto and Chicago.

Great video! My first "real" job was with Prudential Insurance of America's Canadian head office at King and Yonge. The base of the building that housed "Pru" now has a Starbucks (at about 18:55), and, as far as I know, my former company itself is long gone from Canada. Enjoyed your commentary-free video and hearing the various snippets of conversation from passersby.

Once you came out of union Station, you should have turned right, walk to the next traffic light then walk up (north) on young street. That is where the hustle and bustle of morning rush is at. Thanks for the video though, now I know where I can get the bus that goes to bishop airport. I was wondering why ppl were looking at you when you pass them. Later I knew why because your phone was on gimble and I know that because of your reflection on one glass door 😁 Great video as usual.

16 months later and a lot busier downtown now after more people had to give up WFH. I was back in the office (King & Yonge) starting July 2022 and around March 2023 the noticed subway starting getting more and more crowded. And a lot more foot traffic on the sidewalks. Curiously Fridays are quieter, a lot less people getting off the subway at King Stn, I guess a lot of people still do WFH on Fridays.

The business district is picking up steam after the long lockdown (which was much more of a lockdown than in the US), and workers are returning to the office, but it's not up to pre-pandemic levels yet. I'm not even sure if Wall Street foot traffic is back to pre-pandemic levels. I love Manhattan, and have been visiting it since the late 70's, but sometimes we have to mentally "let go" of comparisons to Manhattan when we travel to other cities and just enjoy them for what they are. I think it would be a boring world if all cities were identical! :)

I have visited many countries. Litter is everywhere in the world. Canada does a pretty good job in keeping it clean. You should see litter in Melbourne, London, New York, Edinburgh, Berlin, Paris, etc. This is Canada. You should have know that many Canadian cities go through multiple cycles of freeze and thaw in the winter (as in -35 degrees one day and 5 degrees the next). It does a lot of damage to the asphalt. They spend billions on roads and highways. Litter on highways? Sure, there is (somewhat) but it gets cleaned up. Have you seen litter on American and British highways? Have you seen litter in Paris? Have you see litter on Melbourne highways? Have you seen litter in Auckland? Homelessness is a issue in many developed countries not just Canada. From this video, you can clearly see how clean and well-kept it is. Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Montreal consistently rank in top 10 most liveable cities on the planet. Calgary was recently ranked one of the cleanest cities on the planet. I don’t know what you’re on about.
