I recorded directly on the mic. I plugged the USB-C on the mic directly into a USB port on my Mac. It shows up like a usb drive but the it is named No Name. From here I could open up the folders and drag and drop the wav files directly on my Mac.

I don’t quite understand the safety track mode. When you record with receiver connected to camera, does the transmitter also record internally in all REC modes or only in safety track mode?

So receiver doesn’t record at all. The camera will see a normal level L channel of both microphones mixed. The right channel is then both microphones mixed but at a lower volume level.

@@williamread2392 Took me a while to figure this out. The recordings are on the transmitters, not on the receiver. You have to connect each microphone to the computer.

I have this and can't figure out how to mute from the transmitter. Single pressing the power button doesn't do it, which looks like you could do this on the Lark 150 from other reviews. Did this option get removed, or is there a way to enable muting from the transmitter. I was using mine for a live event with an ear mounted mic and the speaker wanted to mute his mic from time to time.

I have upgraded the receiver and transmitter to the latest firmware 1.0.4. Now on the transmitter when I double click on the power button, it mutes the transmitter. The LED becomes red.

One work around that I did find is I could plug the lav mic (purchased separately) into the mic and it gave me useable audio although still lower levels than I would like. But it is useless without the lav mic.

They each have separate batteries, so you can simply put the TX and RX into the charging case to charge them.

I just got a set of these, I was using the much older Rode Link system. The latency of the Hollyland Lark Max is not as good. When you monitor the delay is enough to sound like a very slight echo. Not enough to mean you can’t monitor, but if you’re in a room for example, it will sound more echoey then it is. Of course it’s fine on play back. But the much older Rode Link mics have NO latency, there is simply no delay, it sounds like it’s hard wired. Has anyone else noticed a delay in the audio from the Hollylands?

Hello! The Lark Max receiver in the box charges from 2% to 51%. Then the power to the receiver is disconnected from the box and full charging of the receiver is possible only through the USB port. What is the problem? I updated the version of the box, receiver and transmitter to the latest. Box charging 100%.

The Lark Max comes with 8G storage memory, which can store up to 14H recording files (in the case of continuous recording, it will be automatically divided into 30-minute segment files). The recording files will be stored in 48KHz*24bit lossless mono WAV format.

Lawrence, the next firmware upgrade should be that the transmitter can operate without the receiver when it comes about the noise cancelation... if it's connected hard press to turn green, when I put the receiver back in the box the ENC it's turn back off... sometimes I just want to go out without the receiver to shed some weight...

There IS an input for headphones in the receiver here, so in theory I should be able to a) plug in the receiver to my phone, b) plug headphones into the receiver, c) use the included mic to conduct the interview. However, my headphones never worked with this and I don't know why

I record his video and audio this way, but not able to get his audio to be used by the hollyland. 1- Regular phone calls use his cell mic not the hollyland and cant figure that out. 2- discord doesnt register it as a mic either. 3- tried on a iphone 15 and couldnt get it to work either.

@JuiiceTVLive Thats strange about discord not registering this as a mic. I need that check that to see if I have the same issue. The input on the side of the receiver is a regular headphone jack. One side connects it to a camera, the other side has a headphone input. I guess I assumed this would allow me to listen to my phone's audio through my headphones.

Why dont Hollyland use lightning or usb adapter like DJI mic when connecting to phones? It is not ergonomic to hold both receiver and phones during filming. Will be buying DJI mic because I do not want dangling receiver when I'm filming with 1 hand.

If you have an Android phone, use a USB-C to USB-C cable, and if you have an Apple phone, use a USB-C to Lightning cable. In addition, there are many ports on the receiver. Please make sure that the receiver is connected to the correct port. Please refer to the user manual for how to connect the receiver😀

@@hollylandtech I'm not sure what you mean. We aren't experienced with wireless mics. But we were able to connect a rode. There is only one place to attach the c, is that right? We downloaded the manual and both read through it. I'm not sure how we would know whether the phone would normally recognize? 🤔 We spent a lot of time, looked at every menu many times, etc. Both my husband and I. We are pretty tech savvy although again no experience with wireless mics. We just started to wonder whether our phones were compatible.

I used the microphone on the Iphone 13 and used the Lightning to USBC cable and it worked normally. However, I started using the iPhone 15 which uses the USBC to USBC cable, and then the headache started: the receiver uses the iPhone's battery to charge itself while performing its function. This is TERRIBLE! I noticed significant battery consumption on the iPhone, as the receiver keeps charging the entire time it is connected to the iPhone. I did other tests on other devices (Android and Mac) and the same thing happens. I contacted Hollyland support, they apologized for the inconvenience, but explained that this is how it is, this happens because the receiver's charging cable is also USBC, so it continues charging when it is connected to the iPhone via the USBC cable. A real disappointment for expensive equipment, which in theory has battery life, to simply have this happen.
