These two sisters are just so talented. Their music is raw, yet refined, powerful but not overpowering, it’s just divine. Let’s hope they get the recognition they so deserve!

Find myself listening to their live versions over and over, imagining we can go see them again in concert ! Can’t come too soon ! Rock on Larkin Poe ! You two and your band mates are beyond special. First concert where you are on the West Coast, I’ll be there ! Rock on !

I love the song and I love Larkin Poe. They are able to put themselves into so many different types of music and always do the song in an amazing way.

The RESPECT these 2 have and HONOR they pay to the Music makes them stand head and shoulders above most of what Lamestream Radio plays on an endless rotation. The mere fact they can play and sing like nobody's business makes them just that much more AWESOME!

Who thumbs downed this? There's only 2 versions of this song I like and this is definitely one. Just found these girls and I'm HOOKED! Need to see live.

In May of 1969, I went to a small club in Oceanside, just north of San Diego, where I was in naval training (what a picnic). No sign out front about music. We went in. Place was maybe half full- maybe 35 or 40 people. Then, they set up a chair on the tiny stage, and out came this cat with his National. Son House. I might have been the only guy in there who knew who he was, or his history. we came to drink some beer, but once Son House started playing.....it was a 1930 Mississippi roadhouse. Supernatural. You certainly do it justice.

I'm only familiar with Son House's recording of this song which is voice only. I'm not surprised that Rebecca and Megan came up with a really cool cover version. They're batting 1000 when it comes to covers.

I was fortunate to see Son House perform this and many other of his classics back in 1969 when he was doing a college tour. Very sparsely attended and we were at the foot of the stage. What an opportunity that was to see he who influenced Robert Johnson who influenced... everybody else!

Dear Larkin Poe, I live in Dallas, Georgia...bout 50 miles south of Calhoun. I love your gospel pieces such as Sometimes, and John the Revelator... My name is Travis Sweat, and I write as TRAVIS OF BICKLEY. Here is a poem I wrote called What Does God Expect... I think y'all could make it a great song. Here it is. What Does God Expect by Travis of Bickley What does God expect of us, to lie down in misery and pain and not complain? What does God expect of us, to pray and pray another day and never get a drop of rain? What does God expect of us, to test our faith and test our faith and test our faith again and again? What does God expect of us, to run the race, to keep in place, to accept His grace, yet never win? What does God expect of us, but doubt his love, to question Him, feeling we have lived in vain? What does God expect of us, this soul of us, this mind of us, this heart of us, the spirit of us, the shell of us that ends but as a stain? What does God expect of us, when He can do anything and answer us at any time, and He's keeping us on the edge of all our remains? What does He expect? Our failures for what they are, for each and everyone of us, and to die before the STAR, the one and only Son? What does God expect of us, denial, doubt, and treason? A traveling companion through this verse, but born a bit short of reason? What does God expect of us, a Peter, Thomas, or Judas? or Christ, Himself, sent down from high, just to be one of us? What does God expect?

Love this amazing and ranging classic song. You can't fake talent playing it. Love Larkin and Poe, amazing talent and soul. But something's not right here. The vocals and instrumental are not balanced, vocals are drown out, hiding how good it could have been. Warren Haynes really belts it out in fabulous manner.
