Ha!!! Finally someone explains the bounce correctly, relative to wedge play off the green. So many youtube "pros" tell you to "use the bounce" but in a way that would cause more harm than good, with beginners.

Great video. These tight lie shots used to be my bread and butter but have turned completely into my nemesis in the last 3 years. I now have zero confidence in short shots from the fairway and have purchased too many new wedges trying to figure it out. As you pointed out, I think I have stopped turning my body and am jabbing at the ball. Using the “Hinge and hold” method probably leaves my arms and hands too tight as well. Thanks for your video. If I lived in VA I’d arrange a lesson. I will look for your book however. I know your relaxed swing method has been proven effective for my game in the past. I have also subscribed.

Hello Erika! … I want to see videos where you “figure out” what’s wrong with a person’s golf swing; make him/her aware of “their mistake(s)”; and then, see him/her correct their errors … and then, have much better golf-swing & golf-ball-contact results. ⛳️Thank you!

Yes shaft neutral or the face would have to be open to expose and use more of the bounce .shaft lean is only going to get the leading edge working into the ground ( divots) or delofting the shot

Great video. How much bounce do you have on that 58?

I had the impression that on tight grass, it is not good to use the bounce...any comments are appreciated...thanks.

Thanks for the tip. Would your weight be more on your front foot for this type of shot?

Hi Erika, just discovered your video! Really like your direct teaching style and it's very clear you know what you're talking about! I have tried this method and it works great but every now and then i seem to blade a shot even though i feel like i'm returning the club to a vertical position at impact, I'd love to know what i'm doing wrong because it seems to happen at the worst times in my round. Would love your thoughts etc and thanks in advance. Subscribed!~ Ps...The 40 yard shot you hit at the end seemed to take quite a divot was that a different shot you played there or was that a touch heavy? unsure?

Hi Erika, does this mean that in order to use the bounce on a wedge that the shaft is more upright at impact (as opposed to leaning forward)?

YES!

@@larkingolf I do hold the release so that the hands are slightly ahead of the clubhead So, does this mean I should avoid it? Thanks.
