In the aftermath of Hagman's death, it is of particular significance to note the heartfelt reactions of Patrick Duffy and Linda Grey. In both instances, Hagman maintained extremely close personal relationships with them over thirty years. Duffy left Dallas ostensibly to do film projects, however, Hagman persuaded him to return and Duffy was forever grateful. His portrayal of Bobby in the current revival is a highlight of the show. Grey's character has matured and her skills have grown.
