I reckon it’s the lack of empathy that psychopaths feel. So they can’t understand anyone being genuinely nice or caring because when psychopaths use it they do it for personal gain. So his psychopathic mind must have just assumed that’s what John was doing.
@frankaddington1773

It sounds like he was just asking him "is that all (you want me to write on the album)?" pretty basic question, Mark read too much into it to make himself seem so important

I don't believe this, I honestly think there is an instinct about people we have and I am guessing there was something about this Mark Chapman's body language that bothered John Lennon and Lennon was a person who was known for speaking his mind so he was just maybe trying to get a little information out of him as a self defense mechanism

Exactly. How self-obsessed this psychopath must be to even consider John thinking or feeling something like that, as if it was all only about him and his planned assassination. Guess what Chapman, what you did was meaningless and sick and the world will never forgive you.

You really believe that???? lol.... that they would allow CNN in a prison to interview a killer so he could tell his story??? lolol.... you might as well believe that the Easter Bunny is real, too.... they "gave him the platform he wanted", as you put it, so that they can enforce the programming & make sure that the narrative sticks!!!! The super mass gullible populace will believe ANYTHING that makes them feel a tiny bit better about how meaningless their life as a wage slave is - but you have ALL been MK-ULTRA'd & deceived your entire lives.

That’s how a psychopath operates. They’re detached from the world in a special way where it seems like they’re a mere spectator, watching themselves perform actions. It’s a way of escaping responsibility in their mind yet also knowing they’re fully responsible and aren’t seeking to convince anyone of their innocence, see Edmund Kemper.
