I still remember one of their podcasts from a while ago where they were talking about some cars and out of nowhere Zack hits them with a "You can't sit with us!" reference from Mean Girls. No one on the show laughed or recognized it. But I did, I was fucking dying laughing in my car cause the context was so fitting. I got you Zack 💪

I love listening to Larry. When I'm being a pedantic asshole, I just remember that he uses approximately five cleaning products and seven towels for one headlight😂

Very impressed by Zach knowing about the new paint tech by Toyota. It is in fact a novel tech in hardware and uses the idea differently. it’s mostly aimed at increasing painting efficiency to up to 80% which is a big boost

Love the podcast and am a big Larry fan, i have a small business in the UK mainly detailing classic cars-I'm currently listening to this while restoring the paint on a mk2 Ford Cortina with 18k miles on the clock! The paint chat is a very good one and as a detailer I see it in new and repaired/repainted cars. My personal opinion is that as you're buying a brand new car the paint should be near perfect, orange peel is fine but de nib marks, sanding marks and pig tails are from inproper use of equipment and or lack of skill. If the aim is to remove a dust nip or run in the paint then that repair isn't finished in my book. Different to a repaint or repair tho as you get what you pay for with body shops, it's done to labor costs. With a cheap job the quality must suffer to be within the labor budget Long response but that's my feelings

I don’t think KZbin is a crumbling business the problem is the algorithm now is pushing smaller creators more than they ever have and it’s messing up the algorithm, I can’t really complain as it’s helped me out a ton but I can totally understand why Matt is frustrated

TST have 65k subscribers and only 20% or less watch it. Whilst KZbin are promoting small channels which is what he is moaning about and he has little control. TST podcast is in my account ahead of what Google is trying to push outside. I am also wondering why, given Larrys 2.2m subscribers who, like the people sitting in the audience, will be drawn to this. Why are they missing 45k listeners? Yes you could blame tictok or Google, but I haven't subscribed to them.

@@MaxRPMs car content is probably also a smaller portion of KZbin. You look at some of the channels the kids watch, and its like 100x more subscribers.

The gas emitting from the plastics to the windshields is a real annoyance. Seems to be really bad with Toyota/Lexus products even years after they have been on the road. Currently dealing with it on my BMW. Smh

I’ll give it him, he’s consistent. If he kept his political views to topics on relating to cars they would have more subscribers and higher view counts. Alienating half the country is not a good way to conduct business. And unfortunately w/ how polarized everything is most people live in echo chambers.

I lean on the conservative side and can usually gloss over his political comments because i do appreciate his take on cars. What was the most irritating was the constant cutting in on Larry. Had to stop listening in the middle of the episode.
