It’s not just that Doug is popular, you guys do yourselves a disservice thinking that. You and Doug have the best chemistry together, it’s not an interview it’s a couple of friends shooting the shit for a few hours. It comes across in the videos, I think that’s why when he’s on the views are so much higher.

Actually thinking about this more, I think my main issue with Doug's videos is his overwhelming enthusiasm talking to the camera about the cars while they are parked. As an Australian that just rubs me wrong, because we are generally deprecating people. But that same enthusiasm works SO damn well in his conversation.

As a Dane (now living in Texas), Doug's comment about the E38, "if you were living in Denmark and embarrassed about being rich," almost killed me 🤣 That was one of the many reasons I left Denmark, it's called the Law of Jante, it's deeply ingrained in Danes that you're not supposed to show off. The last vehicle i had there was an 07 ML63 AMG, and literally every trip I ever drove in that vehicle in the two years I had it, at least one person would flip me off for no reason and shout, "rich asshole," "give it to the poor" etc.

Commissioned cars are NEEDED. Most cars I like, I want a wagon version of anyway. Even with the Lucid. Especially with the Lucid. So might a shop be able to make a wagon from the Gravity's rear door and the sedan? Imagine the Sapphire WAGON. Wide body, if you missed it. And handling well, according to some.
@Cloxxki Жыл бұрын
I'd consider lowering the Gravity, but dropping the roof won't work, glass is already low. Need to drop the door and everything. I love renders of S Class and EQS wagons. Just a bit bigger. Like a lowered R-Class, which to me isn't ugly.

Other than the trans, very reliable and well built. Was my brother's first car, then mine and we beat the piss out of it. Would go over curbs at 30 for fun and blast through 5' high frozen snow berms. It was a good truck and gave us both our first levels of real independance at 17. I have very very good memories in that truck and would love to find ne thats not a pile of shit to be a camping/beach toy but they are alomst all piles of garbage now. The A-Class thing is really funny. I always love listening to you guys and a lot of the US based car media types talking about these crazy euro cars they are seeing on the internet or on Holiday that they desperately want because they are so cool, so small, with tiny petrol engines (or diesels!) and manual gearboxes. Peugeots, and Fiestas and Polos and all the other stuff. Here in the UK and Europe we can literally see that junk just by looking out of any window of any building. Its the cars we learn to drive in, the cars our mums and Grans have and the cars we yearn to get away from into something 'proper'. I was amused by a facebook group the other day that was a huge circle jerk over a manual gearbox, estate, MkIV Golf, as if it was the second coming of christ. That is the kind of car you use to to take rubbish to the tip in, in the UK/Europe, if you are too poor to buy a transit van. Meanwhile, however - show up in the UK or Europe with literally, the biggest POS anything by GM/Ford/Chevy with a V8 in, the absolute height of naffness which you lot wouldnt not even turn your head to look at - and over here its 'oh shit, a V8! Woah! Look at it go! The sound!" etc etc... All things are relative, we will always want what we dont have. I guarantee you every single one of those people doing the 9-5 at the DMV for minimum wages dreams of one day being their own boss or running that restaurant too! Great entertainment guys, keep it up.
