Although I love cats madly, at the same time l do love and respect donkeys for the following reasons: I was born and lived in a beautiful vine valley until the age of 18. We had 3 donkeys doing most of the hard work, especially during the grapes harvest. They never complained or showing any kind of boredom or rebellion while working for hours in the hot weather of my country. The temperature was reaching to 39- 40C at midday, and we were harvesting from : 8am - 5pm. Our donkeys had a lot of patience and respect for the other animals we kept. My dad was taking care of them by giving them food and water on time. They lived in a very large stable, that we kept clean and warm. Loving and proud animals.I will never forget them. When my dad has reached the age of 73, he couldn't look after them and he gave them away. During the separation, the donkeys were crying. My dad was crying for days and months. When I was told, I was extremely upset but I couldn't do anything it, because I was already a resident here in England. My dream is to be able to help voluntarily, in a donkeys refuse in the future.
