Awesome. As a 17 year old guitar player, I'm starting to form my major techniques and interests in artists. Greg Howe really impresses me with his originality and smoothness. He makes me put down my Pantera album momentarily and pickup some fusion ideas. Amazing!

@noobieschecter It is almost always best to choose a neck pickup with a little less power than the bridge pickup. The pickups that should work best in the neck with an Air Norton in the bridge are the PAF and Air Classic neck models.

Hi tech pickup design, huge amount of creative input on the design of the guitar, amazing guitarist, just discovered him and I really love the bridge between rock jazz and fusion that he brings, clean distorted lines with edge and tension yet fukll of melody speed and flair and yet he throws a hair band over the neck to prevent feedback through sympathetic resonance. I love it.

DiMarzio was is and will be THE pickup for guitar disciples everywhere...I salute you and Greg!! I have a question concerning your line of pickups...I have been designing a fretless 7 string lead guitar and want to have a glass or crystal finger board (that is to say that the neck would still be wood) . I'm looking for a sound somewhere between Kieth Emerson's moog and Miles Davis muted trumpet....which set would fit in to this equation? Thank you, I remain a huge fan and customer!

The video was shot while Greg's guitar was still being prototyped. One of the earlier protos had a standard Breed neck pickup, but the neck pickup in the video is an Air Norton S, which is what Greg actually approved. Sorry for the confusion.

@noobieschecter Fingerboard wood alone does not determine how well a pickup will work, but Air Nortons usally work perfectly well in guitars with rosewood, maple or ebony boards. If you are repalcing an active pickup, you will also have to replace the controls. 500K is the best value to try first.

Hi Larry I've always been a huge fan of your pick-ups, I find that if you want a very highclass pick-up with enough balls to blow peoples minds Dimarzio is the puck-up for, and I was wondering if you could help me out. My current project is an Alternative Metal band called "Pick Your Fight" and I'm looking for a pick-up that when distorted can really blows people minds, but backs off enough to get a nice, for lack of a better word, true and soft clean tone. I primarily play ESP/LTD.
