I love your personality and how real you are! Just a little fyi- honey never expires! When it gets crystallized just set the honey container in low/medium heated water on the stove for a few minutes and the honey will turn back to a more liquid substance! I honestly didn't know that about honey until I had been married for a few years!

A tip for cake frosting is sticking it in the freezer after you take it out of the oven. It keeps it soooo moist and delicious and it cools it down faster to frost!!

A great way to enhance a box cake and make it super decadent is to substitute the water for milk, add an extra egg, substitute the veg oil for melted butter but double the amount and add a little box of pudding powder (which ever flavor goes with your cake mix flavor). Mix everything together and cook following the instructions in the cake mix box. It turns out amazing. 🤗

When it asks for you to lightly sift you just want to pour a little mound of flour in there and then rotate the pan around so that the flour gets pretty consistently across all of the bottom and along all of the edges to keep cake from sticking. So when you’re all done the whole inside of the pan looks like dusted flour.

I came here to say the same thing. Also, I don’t ever use the spray anymore. I think it works better just to put a little oil on the bottom and use a paper towel to wipe it all around the bottom and sides.

Also the date is for storing eggs at room temperature. If you store them in the fridge they’ll last a while after the best before date

The general rule of thumb in my household is that if it floats it's no good. They should sit side on at the bottom of a bowl of water. If they stand up on their tips, leave contact with the base or float on the surface it's not edible. Gran daddy Minx or some other guru can verify if this is correct I am sure.

The best way to frost the cake, is cool it down uncovered . If you keep it covered the whole time, it’ll stay moist and not harden a little on the top. 💝 love ya!

Happy Birthday Larry! 🎂🎁🎈❣ Tip for frosting your cake....do a thin layer of frosting first its called a crumb layer....once you have the thin layer on....put remainder of frosting on. It should cover all the crumb pull off! 🙂

A little tip abt cakes and the icing sticking. Let the cake cook completely and the put it in the freezer for a few hours. Then put the icing on!
