To add to this (I main this character myself): His orbital in 6 ang Tag 2 had supreme crushing, you could even crushing a df1 or a mid who's hitbox is higher than ur average mid Evasion on the orbital was nerfed heavily in 7, same properties carried to 8, can still crush but not as hardcore as it used to be

As someone who mains this character myself, I do not want him to be good ever, ever again, if that happens, we're gonna have a T6/TTT2 scenario where everyone hates him but at the same time used him I do want him to be significantly better compared to his Tekken 7 iteration though, and from the looks of it, he seems finally ok now@@CherylMason2003​

Nice video! I find this move to be the most effective when making a hard callout on an opponent's low. Lars has so many tools for whiff punishment, it's always exciting to pull off a creative combo

You forgot to mention that instead of a Bounce, it was a Tag Buffer in Tag 2.

It was both a bounce and a tag bufferable launcher. A bounce is a launch that cannot be techrolled from. That is true of TTT2's version of his uf+4 as well.

It humors me that for whatever reason, UF4 has a bound property and yet it was removed in Tag 2 where it would have given a lot of style points. Likely they wanted to avoid free combos if you hit your opponent with this while they were airborne tag out, but still.

Ye, bound retained would made Lars slightly good and newbie friendly in T7 but still balanced around by having low damage output.

Not that it did matter. In TTT2 he gained SEN df+1 which allowed for longer/better combos than the ones he had in T6.

This move is one of the reasons I love playing Lars because I sucked at low parrying everytime I tried it usually too slow or too early. With orbital I can use it to expect low from opponent, it also bums Lars a bit forward which feels crisper than say.. Leroy and Bryan

I mean, let's say, it's just his orbital, one that could need a lot of explanations is Bryan's, like Aris explained a lot about it, how making it standing or forward changes a lot in the situation, example making it very hard to punish on whiff done U+4.

That his uf+4 in particular launched at a lower height than it did in T6 & TTT2 was just part of the long battery of nerfs he got for T7 lol

Wrong. T6 and TTT2 required a particular timing to do the f123 otherwise 2nd Or 3rd hit would whiff, if not the bound would whiff. T7 reduced bounce with f123 3rd hit having new float allowed 2-3 hit longer combo.

Unrelated to video but watch out for that TAA guy. He's been going around spreading awareness abt the upscaling thingy T8 has. Tbh its cool that theyre trying to help make Tekken 8 look the best but what they gonna do if Harada didnt take note of it or he probably is already aware of it but didnt want to entertain it I wanna know your opinion about it. Should this whole upscaler thing be taken as one of those big issues or would it get glossed over by most ppl?
