I played this as a kid and all this time I blame the Godwins for the demise of Arshtat and Ferid. Now that I'm an adult I realized that the true enemy of Falena is human greed. From the senate and even the lineage of the Royal Family itself is corrupt. I'm glad that the Prince and Lym changed that and formed a new Falena where every citizen has a voice and not being ruled by one family alone.

You filthy youngster casual fuck! you didn't ever experience the golden age era of video games during the 80s and the early 90s! where graphics didn't matter much! where there was no such thing as micro transaction. An era where there was no youtube or video guide telling you or baby sit you about what to do and where to go in a video game! an era where video games felt longer (even though in reality they are shorter in length) because there is no video guide holding your hand telling you what to do! You will never had the chance to experience all of that epicness!

I still blame the Godwins. A power thats history torched their continent and more recently neutered Lordlake. And they thought they should do an invasion there. If Arshtat happened to be looking out a window during the invasion, they would have been nuked straight away. This invasion is the most baffling decision I've ever seen in Suikoden.

The main problem isn’t so much the people, but the Sun Rune itself. It drives its wielder insane with its power. The only way to properly control it is to have both the Dawn and Dusk Runes nearby and/or equipped to keep its power in check. So, while some would blame the Godwins (with good reason, since they stole the Dusk Rune), and some would blame the royal family and other politics… the truth is that the longer a person wields the Sun Rune, the more likely something like this scene would happen… if not now, then at some later time. Falena was lucky that Georg was there to step in and stop Ashtat and the Sun Rune obliterating everything.

I remembered Ferid talked to Georg privately. Knowing the game series, I was sure Georg was to stop the late Queen. Plus, I also had the strategy guide. Ferid nor the Queen were the 108 Stars. So I wondered their deaths throughout my gameplay.

Suikoden 5 is the only main character not wearing true rune because he is male. Why they not change his gender so he become crown princess of Falena and wear Sun rune. But Sun Rune is so powerfull.

Then she will go crazy just like her predecessor. Sun rune power is enormous even among the true runes, but at the cost of the bearer's sanity. Come to think of it, we never have female maen protagonist in suikoden series. Chris is the only one, tho not in the way of the silent main protagonist other series have
