It doesn't sound like you are doing anything wrong. In the beginning, when practicing Bakasana you will feel heavier on the arms. This is part of the process, to first simply balance. In time and with lots of practice one will then begin to press down through the arms more fully and engage the core. This is beginning stage of acquiring the strength to press into full handstand. The strength and coordination doesn't happen overnight. Truly the reward is in the journey. Just practice! :)

I simply started a consistent Ashtanga yoga practice and devoted myself, and still do, to the path of this tradition. When you let go to the process of practice what seems impossible becomes possible, and honestly is much bigger than the performance of postures as the above. I would recommend finding an authorized teacher near you, and begin there, with consist practice. What unfolds will be worth all the effort, I promise.

When maintaining a regular practice it does become important to eat in a way that supports the practice. I do my best to eat whole foods, organic, home cooked as much as possible. Moderation in everything, even moderation. :) When it comes to strength, yes it can vary from day to day. Some days the breath is stronger. When "tired" technique definitely does save me. Most important dristhe, bandhas, breath.

Could you make a video on what you eat in a day ? Pleaseeeee

You make it look so easy. I can do Bakasana, yet do not have the strength to lift up into handstands. When I do handstands I flip into Wheel, still can’t stay up. I need to keep strengthening core. After years of practice I get a bit sad I still don’t have it mastered.

It really takes time. It took time for me as well. There are so many beautiful gifts available in yoga. The postures are just a small part.

I can definitely recommend a few Ashtanga yoga books which is my practice. However, I don't know of a book that only represents arm balances off hand. I'll have to look into it. Even though there are a few arm balances in both primary and intermediate series, most arm balances are in the 3rd Series otherwise know as Advanced A.

This is beautiful and very inspiring! I'm struggling to learn arm balancing poses but so far I've been doing alright with crow. However, I feel like I'm extremely heavy on my arms. There's no way my thighs can lift up high in order to do a handstand! Any advice? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong...

Awesome video! :) I was wondering if you could suggest me a book or a page online where I can see all the yoga stands or positions of balance. Right now I'm practicing the elbow stand and the frog stand. I'm not quite sure if those stands are called like that in Yoga since I'm just starting to get interested in it. Greetings!

Alva Septiantya Alva Septiantya Hi... Yes Vrksasana is a Tree pose in which we stand on our legs and perform the asana.. whereas Adho mukha Vrksasana is a downward facing tree pose in which we stand on our hands and do the inverted tree pose... The asana is done beautifully by Laruga Yoga...
