LaRussell said “if you put out more albums, it’s more lucrative than just dropping one album” and compared it to renting out 10 house versus one. DJ Envy quickly said “Well when it comes to real estate, yea absolutely”. DJ Envy isn’t aware that albums are very similar to rental houses. You pay rent to a rental house, we get paid per stream. You purchase a house, you purchase a album. Yes the money is very different but he proved you wrong when he said putting out more albums is lucrative then just putting out one…they start talking about this at the 2:45 mark

Yessir, 10 albums = 10 houses. 10 renters per house at $1000 = 250,000 "streamers" aka renters of the album per album. For as long as the music stays timeless, it has intrinsic value and constantly adds value & revenue in the product with no additional cost. Envy probably doesn't like just how lucrative Larussell made his music out to be (better than real estate). Plus offer-based service allows more personal connection to his fans. Took Ryan Leslie's school of business and flipped it on its head and it actually hit.
