If you put. the charge on a credit card, you can dispute it - saying that the room was unfit and you did not sleep there overnight. Also, if you pull up to a motel and did not make a reservation, you can ask to see the room first. Sometimes they will let you, and then you can decide before paying.

Always check sheets, we once went to a hotel. (Cozy 8)There was dried skin, at the foot end. Hairs on the pillow, and crusty boogers. I called, the desk and requested clean sheets. And made, the bed myself. I told them, they needed to make sure, staff did their job. I only checked, cause I had read somewhere. To always check.😐

I used to work at an upscale Inn in the Smith College area and used to inspect rooms. Even at the most expensive places you can tell how clean the room is by running damp TP along the floor at the bottom of the tub.. Try it next time you stay in a clean place, used to catch the slackers. Lol

most of these people passing though, their homes look like this room your in anyway. my dad used to say ""you get what you pay for", if your not a good house keeper, and your home have a few bugs in it. then staying in a motel/hotel with stains and bugs in it will not bother you at all. for me, I always carry my own pillow case, a sheet and blanket. roaches, spiders doesn't bother me, they leave me alone and I leave them alone.

Yikes! I always strip off the top bedding and inner blankets down to just the sheets. Then I being my own blankets from home.. Hotel's REUSE the top and middle blankets.. no wash in between guests.. trust me.. Even when staying at 4- 5 star hotels...
