The airport should change its name to the name everyone on planet earth wanted, Las Vegas International Airport !!!!! Changing the name from McCarren to Reid was without question was the most ridiculous stupidest thing I’ve ever seen my hometown do. Everyone in the world knows what Las Vegas is whilst almost nobody in the world knows what a H Reid is. Name our airport LAS VEGAS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT and give Reid a street or a freeway overpass or something.

@@RFMeloneer1989 I was born in Vegas and still live in Vegas, I know very well who Harry Reid is, as a kid I remember watching Reid on TV before he was a senator, as I recall he was head of the gaming control board or a county commissioner. My political beliefs have absolutely nothing at all to do with my opinion of the name of our airport. In my very early adult life I worked at McCarran Airport for years as a passenger pick-up shuttle bus driver, the two questions I was always asked is “do people actually live in Vegas” and “why is the airport named McCarran” As Vegas grew bigger and bigger the McCarran name of our airport became obsolete, in 80’s or 90’s the name of our airport should have been changed to the Las Vegas Airport or something similar. Everyone on planet earth knows what Las Vegas is in comparison to almost no one knows or remembers who McCarran was and Harry Reid is quickly falling into the same category of who was Harry Reid. If our airport was named Las Vegas International Airport it would promote our city even further. I hated the McCarran name and I totally hate the current airport name, it has nothing to do with my political views or beliefs and never has.

Why only single track, since double track is the standard in most countries that have high-speed rail...and secondly, why is the station located in Ranch Cucamonga, It's too far from downtown LA.
