Las Vegas Off-strip: JW Marriott

We stayed at the JW Marriott Las Resort Resort and Spa on our latest trip to Las Vegas as we were curious as to what kind of hotels and resorts exist outside of the famous hotel-filled strip. This resort is about a 20 minute car ride away from the Las Vegas strip, just off the highway and easy to reach and exit if you are planning to go north towards Utah.
It is honestly a peaceful and beautifully built place with large outdoor gardens, restaurants and of course a casino and its own buffet. The rooms were quite spacious and we were spoiled by a massive walk in closet and bathroom! Unlike a lot of the Las Vegas hotels these days, the parking is free and resort fees are not ridiculously high. If you book with them directly, you even get a voucher for 40 USD to spend within the property!
