It's so freaking crazy that the NFL doesn't give 2 shits about QBs unless they're Mahomes (used to be Brady) you literally can't touch those guys or it's a flag. it's not just backups and Aiden O'Connell, it's also Rookies. the refs just allow rookies to get manhandled alll the time. why?? just because they're young? because they're not famous? do y'all remember Joe Burrow's rookie year? or honestly, his whole damn career. the whole league is just allowed to beat the hell out of that guy, and nobody cares. I really don't understand why the NFL pretends to care about players, but it's clear as day they only care sometimes, when it may affect their bottom line. it almost feels like they encourage it behind closed doors, but tell the world "oh yeah, player safety is our number one concern, yessir, we truly care about these guys 😉"

Sad. And whats scary is this could happen to ANY starter. Look whats happened to Trevor Lawrence...out for the season. Now, we all know Trevor's team wasn't likely to go to the playoffs this year but now they arent going anywhere but down. And, who knows if Trevor Lawrence will ever be the same caliber of player again? This could definitely happen to our most talked about QBs like Mahomes, Goff, Allen, Love etc. As extreme as I find the salaries of these football players to be, this is one reason why they are so high. In the blink of an eye, their career could be over...at 25 years old, give or take. When you've dedicated your life to football and havent even started to explore your options after football because you're only 24, this is why those big bucks are given.
