Its not that complicated. Anytime someone criticizes Rodgers his fans are the first to cry that people don't like him because of his politics and culture wars nonsense. No. People are criticizing him because he refuses to take responsibility for his actions and pointing fingers and skipping mandatory practices and such. And then on top of it yes, when you make everything political. You're asking for controversy. That's on him. Cant blame anyone else.

I supported Deebo saying something to Moody. That was his THIRD miss in that ONE game. But his attitude on top of that, well that's another issue. He said he didn't get the ball enough to do anything after a HUGE win against the Bears. Then he became the focus against the Rams and he dropped the ball, literally and figuratively. There is talent ALL over that team. Maybe Shanahan should take the "Belichick" approach to the players.
@jeremyshirling765718 сағат бұрын
It's not that Deebo said something to Moody. The issue is he took a swing at the snapper (Taybor Pepper), who was only trying to defend Moody, telling Deebo to back off. It's one thing saying something; it's something else taking a swipe at him.
@keithricker50417 сағат бұрын
@@jeremyshirling7657 Yeah, he took a swipe at Pepper for getting involved. I get Pepper was believed he was protecting Moody, but over the last two years the Niners have lost games SPECIFICALLY because of Moody's inaccuracy, the worst probably being the missed extra point in the Superbowl last year. In all honesty, I think if Pepper would've let Deebo have his say, nothing more than words would've happened. But, hey if you think that Pepper was right to step in, that's cool with me as well. But that would just make Pepper just as responsible for the whole thing as Deebo was. At least that's my take on that situation.

A player can elevate a team, can have a day that exceeds expectations, can make the play that clinches a title ... but no player is bigger than his team. I realize this almost amounts to heresy in this day of personal exaltation (even including some coaches, e.g., Deion Sanders), but ... no player is bigger than his team. In any team sport, success is gained through the synthesis of talents, not by elevating one talented player over all the rest. And I am the only one who is noticing that the divas are more often than not the players who have convinced management to sign them to outsized money (pretty much retirement money) with a new contract (witness Deshaun Watson). That said, it's hypocritical to excoriate Tua for not avoiding undue risk, when Cam Newton was practically driven out of the league for backing off trying to recover a fumble.

I know a lot of the people hate Rodgers… but I’ve seen basically every game of him the last 8 years (not the jets game included) and when he was at the packers and had a problem with other players he was always right … cause at the packers he was the most accurate passer to ever play the game and every time he took a shot at someone in interviews or social media he was right… maybe not the nicest way to handle such situations but after those games I was as angry as he was and I totally understood his acting
@D.LeeFreyКүн бұрын
Atlanta: Kirk Cousins. He has the weapons and a decent offensive line, but his play has fallen apart recently and his backup looks to be about ready to take over. Chicago: Caleb Williams. The Bears had to do many things to convince him to be okay being drafted by them. His penchant for holding the ball too long and slowly developing play has already frustrated his veteran receivers and offensive line. Dallas: Micah Parsons. His play has leveled off. While a great pass rusher, he continues to get bullied on run plays and will be wanting his contract extended on a team where nearly 50% of the salary is tied up with Dak and Ceedee Lamb. Detroit: Jameson Williams. For all his talent, his mental mistakes (multiple PED suspensions, dropped passes, at times lack of health) has at times stunted a talented team. Plus he’s soon up for a contract extension and will probably have to go elsewhere to get it. Houston: Stefan Diggs. While not as many histrionics as with Buffalo and Minnesota, he was still causing a headache or 2 with CJ Stroud before his season ending injury. He also restructured his contract so he can get another contract. But between his sliding numbers and multiple team issues, who wants to go in for that? Jacksonville: Trevor Lawrence. Outside of decent stretches of the ‘22 and ‘23 seasons, his play has been subpar. Yet he managed to become one of the highest paid players in the offseason. At his best, he’s maybe the 10th best quarterback, but for over the last year, between injuries and barely playing better than Anthony Richardson, he’s got to be feeling the pressure. Miami: Tyreek Hill. He proved that Tua was more deserving of an extension than he was. He still has the skills, but between his off the field behavior and being more invisible this year, to save money, the Dolphins might designate him a post-June 1st cap casualty or trade him to be someone else’s problem. Minnesota: Jordan Addison. Dude is a skinnier, but just as troubled version of Tyreek Hill. He’s had multiple injuries, off the field issues, and is more diva like than his receiving teammate Justin Jefferson. New Orleans: Derek Carr. While he’s currently the best option at Quarterback they have on the roster, his uneven play has caused multiple injuries and is not worth the extension. Technically, the Saints should just blow it up and spend 2 years as bottom feeders trying to recoup picks and salary cap space. Jets: Davante Adams and Sauce Gardner. Adams was already unhappy when his quarterbacks were Aiden O’Connell and folk legend Gardner Minshew. He got his wish to be traded to a slightly better Jets team, but until yesterday still struggled to get on the same page as former Packers teammate Rodgers. Between his cap hit and his never being a speed receiver, the Jets could cut him and could have to wait through the majority of free agency to get a deal. Philadelphia: A.J. Brown. This isn’t the first time he’s been voicing his displeasure, but playing with a run dominant team where the quarterback will be the second leading rusher on the team, he’ll probably more of a headache as the years go on. San Francisco: Talanoa Hufanga. While he’s not a diva, the last 2 years, he’s missed a lot of time with injury, and with his contract extension coming up, he could either be waiting a while or have to play on a prove it deal to teams trying to determine if he can stay healthy. Tennessee: Calvin Ridley, L’Jarius Snead and Will Levis. Ridley has at times mentally checked out, gotten in league trouble with gambling, and twice let franchises confused with his mental toughness. Snead wanted the bag, so the Chiefs traded him for a pick, while Tennessee gave him the bag. His play has been horrendous and he got knocked out with an injury this season. Levis always teases with talent, but his meme worthy plays have him worse than a reckless Brett Favre and Vinny Testaverde.
