Las Vegas Rattle snakes and Green Day

Viva Las Vegas! Dave and Jeremy invade Sin City for the When We Were Young fest, featuring Green Day and to do some major herping. Luxury hotels were not an option so we opted to camp in the Nevada desert outside of the beautiful Red Rock Canyon. The weather wasn't great but that didn't prevent us from finding plenty of amazing critters. In this episode you'll see speckled rattlesnakes, gopher snakes, sidewinder rattlesnakes, long-nose snake and western gecko. Check out the rare wild horses that make an unexpected, surprise cameo appearance! it's a sure bet, you'll definitely enjoy our Las Vegas adventure!

So cool to see the horses out. I grew up around horses and so I could tell that it was a mother and her colt. Never knew there were wild horses in Nevada; just donkeys. Now I guess I know there are both. Great bunch of rattlesnakes as well. Sidewinders have to be just about my favorite

There are only an estimated 800 wild horses in Nevada so we were fortunate to come across them. They came out of nowhere and scared us half to death, lol. I'm just glad they didn't run in front of the car!

That was as sweet-looking Rhino, and that gopher morph with the stripes. C'mon now, that alone was worth the cold night in the desert. We make fun of trash pandas, but I'm pretty sure herpers are related. Sidewinder much? Sheesh, that was a few. Cool idea mixing the concert with herping. I need one of those papa things when I herp on the border down here.

Yea we were a bit worried it was going to be a bummer of a herping trip but turned out pretty good in the end. We definitely were all over relentlessly road cruising and hiking for life. It’s true some see garbage others see a good mine. 👊🏼

Awesome video! Would love to make it out west, some cool snakes! I was so confused about the horse, didn’t know they had wild ones there! I too have found a DOR bannanaconda I told my mom to stop for it and she dropped me off and left so I had to walk home which was about 1/4 mile.

Thanks! We had a good time out there. Yea it is a bit of a surreal experience running into wild horses especially while road cruising at night. That’s a funny story about getting dropped off to catch a banana peel, it’s hilarious what we’ve gotten excited over only to be let down by trash 😆. One time we saw a Texas tortoise in the distance and drove to it singing “Texas tooortoise!” But it was just a paper grocery bag 😂. 🐢 💼
