I paid less… per person. But, yes. It wasn’t worth it. Plus, they had “free” food. In which I got food poisoning from. A 1x only experience for me.

I was gonna go Thursday since I’m comped for the night at park mgm and Thursday tickets were $100 with free food and soda. That’s not bad considering a buffets on the strip is $80 and has a 90 min limit. But got too lazy to drive from LA when I don’t even care for f1. Just thought it’d be a good experience. Maybe next year

Just left Practice session 1 on 11/21. You CAN see it from the streets in certain areas, but it was nice watching from the stands.

Most Americans don't know or care about F1. NASCAR is the Big Dog in auto racing in the US. Back in the Wide World of Sports TV days,, they would show a few USAC races when Mario Andretti or other big names then were driving. The only Open Wheel race I see televised anymore is the Indy 500. F1 is a European sport. Is there any American Team running in it? I don't know! That's about it.

And yet NASCAR being the "Big Dog in auto racing in the US" hasn't convienced the city of Las Vegas and casinos owners to sign a 10-year contract to host a 3-day racing event on their most important streets. Las Vegas and Casinos want to atract more affluent crowds in the US that do watch F1 and people overseas. F1 fans on average spend 3X more than your normal tourist or other sporting event attendees. Also, Nascar viewership and attendance have decline dramatically over the years.
