I've never enjoyed cooking, normally do the bare minimum to feed myself, but I thought I would try this recipe!! The entire time I was preparing it, I admit I was wondering if all the fuss was worth it, you can get some pretty good single serve frozen lasagnas. But... OMG this dish was so worth it!!! Such wonderful flavour, I'll be making this again, and again!!! Thank you so much, I'll be checking out more of your recipes!!!

I make this lasagna for 2 and everyone who has it LOVES IT!!!! I did tweek it a bit because I did not care for the meatloaf mix. Instead I use ground chuck and italian sausage instead of plain pork. Thank you for sharing this because it was a definite game changer for me. I NEVER MADE lasagna because so much is left over. This is the perfect amount for my family.

Hi Linda, that's great to hear! I also don't like having a ton of leftover lasagna...I feel lie it doesn't taste the same after day 2. I'm glad you and your family enjoys it and that you were able to add your own tweaks! Thanks for letting me know!

Yeah Yeae Gi Park knowing you, you probably have tons of loaf pans lying around... and the touch of cream just makes the meat more tender and gives the sauce a richer mouth feel.

@ChefJulieYoon9 жыл бұрын
No I haven't used regular lasagna noodles in a no boil situation brewatch so not sure how they would work out. I'm wondering if you soak them in some hot water first maybe to give them a head start? Here's a pro tip: If you're using too much cheese, you're doing it wrong. Classic, authentic and original lasagna has minimal amounts of parmesan cheese in it and that's it. The bechamel sauce is supposed to be made with milk, onions & then mixed with butter, flour and then seasoned. This just reminds me of those classic facebook cooking videos where they just add absurd amounts of cheese just so it looks like it's melting at the end. I know there are many versions of lasagna and this is why I'm commenting. I'm pretty sure your lasagna tastes good, but it's not how they make it in Italy, where it comes from. Also, I hate too much cheese :D
@ChefJulieYoon5 жыл бұрын
I didn't add the amount of cheese I did to be gimmicky in any way, nor did I claim this recipe came from Italy. I actually use this amount of cheese because I think it tastes good, but of course it's totally up to your preference. Also do you really cook your bechamel in that order that you wrote? I'm just curious because usually for a classic bechamel, you start by making a roux first with the butter, onions (if you prefer), and flour, and then you add the milk and seasonings...
