LASD Pursuit Crash Caught on Camera in Long Beach

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 11/24/23 3:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Long Beach Blvd / Artesia Blvd
CITY: Long Beach
DETAILS:
A pursuit from LASD Compton Station ended in a sedan crashing into a truck and a traffic pole. The crash knocked over the street light, and caused the car to briefly catch on fire. Three people were injured in the crash, and taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
The intersection of Long Beach Blvd and Artesia Blvd have been shut down, and anyone trying to go northbound Long Beach Blvd will instead be redirected onto the 91 Freeway.

Well, it stopped the pursuit. Not funny, I know. That poor guy in the truck lost his leg? Still, it looks like he was in the wrong, failing to yield to oncoming traffic. The more videos of collisions I see, the more I'm convinced people are just in a hurry to get somewhere and not paying attention. Of course, in this case, the sedan was in a BIG hurry, trying to get away in a pursuit situation. Wake up, open your eyes and eliminate any distractions to your driving. The life you save may be your own.
