$13K for that thing? I can buy a sandblaster and a whole bunch of sand and have $12.5K leftover and do a better job.

It"s good for quick results on heavy metal . But it's always amazing to watch 😊
@vwfanatic23906 сағат бұрын
Carful, you’ll warp panels putting so much heat into any one spot. Just like welding you need to move around to avoid overheating one area. Same with sanding with a DA, and that was less heat than the laser. It is cool how it just burns off the rust, though.

On some places you where too far away and all the time you where moving it too fast, it's not like sand blasting where you have a wide area it is just a thin line you have to move it accordingly, I have seen others use it and came out really great, and the settings you HAVE to know what each one does...

Patina Wars! I'm in agreement with some here - cool toy but I'd save it for heavy metal. It did a great job on Red's frame.

Yes, it's good for some stuff and not for others...Thanks buddy!

I don’t know how much power it takes to operate, but I think a media blaster would be cheaper to operate,and just as effective.

Patina Zapper 5000 looks fun to play with! I'd probably save it for rust and not try to remove paint with it, as it seems to produce a lot of heat into the metal. But I really really want Santa to bring me one.

Smoke damages the laser lens. Some of those guns have a compressed air outlet near the laser lens for that reason. But a big honkin' fan works just as well.

I feel like you might get more even results if you turned the laser 90 deg. for each pass so it is like a cross hatch.

On the chinese advertizing webpages it looks way more impressive ... the catch is the paint I'd say. Strip the paint first and treat the bare rusty metal might work better.

Might work for heavy metal, total waste of money for body work . Not impressed in the least. And You still have to use the DA to remove the etching. I see absolutely no advantage to this for body work.
