I probably would make a rolled cushioned handle for each strap. They provide more comfort, and you can still use thin leather for heavier bags.

I just completed this bag, except for hammering down the rivets (it's 1:30 in the morning). Came out great, and despite being laser cut, it took some time. I did my own dyeing as well. However, my suggestion is that the straps need to be longer. I wish I would have checked. They are about 19 in, but are still too short. Live and learn. My wife can still carry it on her shoulder, but there's not much room.

23:45 what is do is put it in my pony. I have a couple pieces of twine, with clips tied on one end and a loop on the other. I screwed 2 little cup hooks in my ceiling. Put the loop on the hook and clip the other end to the leather. Basically works as another set of hands, to keep that big piece of leather out of your way while you're stitching

New to leather crafting, but not to sewing… excited to find this, since I have a glowforge!!! Please tell about your pocket digital calipers that you measured the leather with! I need that! Love your content… binge watching as I write this! TFS your works!

If a leathercrafter is at laser cutting machine level, i bet they're likely not hand stitching anymore lol. Great video though, love your acrylic templates

Hi, nice video, please, how do you control ashes spread and burnt smell on leather during cutting?

I liked the design of the bag you made. It is really beautiful. Could you please tell me the measurements?

you did a great job on this video. I was looking for a simple bag design to make. I will first try your PDF design on my cricut maker. I just order an order my first laser last week. I will try this on my laser as soon as I get it.

great tutorial, I may try this using my industrial sewing machine. My only comments on the design is that it would look better and be more practical if it were slightly taller. And the straps longer and had 2 rivets on each connection point, IMHO.

Salut, Merci pour cette belle vidéo, j'aurais une petite question, le cuir doit être mi souple, mi ferme pour pouvoir le retourner ? Amitié Alain 😉

looks awesome! my laser is a bit too small for this unfortunately. I have the snapmaker laser engraver. Your other designs have worked well on my engraver though

Great video ! But.... a glowforge is really not a hobbyist laser - it is a production laser. Even in it's least expensive version it is going to set you back over $4,000 for a 19.5" x 11" cutting area for the 40W, and even more for the 45W.

Holy, the SMELL! It is so bad. How do you limit or reduce the smell of the leather after it's been cut?
@learntoswim9050 Жыл бұрын
You should likely be using a vent hood, most tanning processes involve serious chemicals.
