Skip the masking. Just finish the leather first (at least your first coat of whatever protection you apply) , then the soot wipes right off cleanly. I dye, oil, and then apply leather balm. Buff and cut, soot wipes cleanly off

Thenk you for this tutorial. And what power of air compressor do you use? How strong air stroke should be for laser cut? Usually after cut I have black soot. I tried to change power or speer of cut and didn't had better reslt. And what focus value of lens do dyou used?

I have the template from when they first came out X years ago, what is the change in design for the new template?

Nothing massive. Stitching hole spacing, small body size change and moved the snap hole placement. Mostly errors I made in the digital design that was bothering me.

What are the markers called that is used to dye the edge? I have search and search. I may not be wording it correctly

I think searching empty acrylic marker or empty paint marker should work. Amazon and Buckleguy definitely have them.
