I came to look at your art... but the music is hard to bear. Really.

Haha I agree it's terrible. Will try to get around to changing it some day

Hi there, great video! If you’re still actually on the platform, what kind of wood would be good for fine detail?

I have heard that it's good to use a hard wood to retain detail. I just used 3/4 in plywood and it worked fine.

Tina - Thanks for showing your process! Two questions: How small can you laser engrave text and it still be suitable for printing? Are there any special considerations when digitizing designs for a printing block? Thanks again.

This looks great! Can you say how deep the laser has to cut for the prints to turn out right? I'm told the deeper the cut the more expensive the laser cutting is.

Thanks! In my experience, with woodblock printing, it really doesn't have to be very deep to make a clean print. between 1/16 and 1/32 of an inch is fine. For most laser cutters, that's one or two passes I think. With softer materials, it would probably have to be deeper.
