Glad to do it, Chuck! I have had this happen a few times - always dangerous. I appreciate the continued support. Take care - Dave!

Kinda nuts. I’ve never had a fire in the 3 years I’ve been using my laser… I figured you had sprayed something on the wood and THAT caught fire so I was hoping to figure out what it was. The fact it was nothing but power and speed is really crazy. I never use my laser at full power ever. I always tone it down and slow the head or speed it up. Using lightburn I have all my settings pre set up for the laser itself based on what wood I’m cutting or engraving on.

It was certainly unexpected. Had a preset for 3mm basswood plywood of 6mps & 50% power, which probably would have been ok if the honeycomb was cleaner. I've used a clear coat prior to cutting other woods but nothing in this case. I appreciate you watching and providing input. Learned a lot from viewer experience and comments. Take care - Dave!

Basswood is terrible for catching fire.
