first time saw his video where he isn't talking religious BS but pure science

Totally agreed, that religious nonsense makes me irritated. Drop it and get to the facts and the pure science, which is (thankfully) what this video is about.

Most important video I've ever seen where a scientist is not just believing in God, have entrepreneurship sense and talks about spirit of God in physical world and that he wants to be channel for great work..these tendencies are so much as i have lived all my Life and actually happened to start my work in food and plastic Waste

10:30 so you are telling me that my laser printer from the 80's was making graphene?

@Z. Michael Gehlke So what you are saying is they put all the work in and you can just come along and use it for free? Do you not think hard work should be rewarded?

Question for Dr. James M. Tour and the Graphene Council as well...: How does the Dielectric constant of the various types of grapene compare to other materials ? Please comment on this topic for our educational purposes, thanks 😊 🙏 ☺

Hey, I had a query with regards to the electrical conductivity of LIG. If the electrical conductivity of LIG is at par with graphene (as mentioned in this video), then why is it that the LIG strips are applied with low voltages, say 5v and 1amp, then the temperature increase to above 150°C.

Hi Rameez, I am not the technical expert but basically, there is a difference in the energy needed to create graphene using the laser and the electrical properties of the graphene once it has been created. Does that answer your question?
@therameezkhan
@therameezkhan 2 жыл бұрын
It doesn't actually answer my question. But I read other research articles wherein they have explained why the LIG strip made with the process ends up getting high electrical resistivity or say low electrical conductivity that causes it to get as hot as it does. Also, your reply is missing my point completely. But none the less, thanks for the reply.

any idea when universal matter will go public? been wanting to know this for over a year i even called the contact number on their website last year in about april or may of 2020 so its been a year and last time he told me long ways off from going public what a bummer i want in now :( graphene council any idea of how long "long ways off" is?

Dear Leeroy, we do not comment on public offerings or investments. The Graphene Council focuses on the overall industry, commercialization and adoption. I am afraid you will need to wait for the owners of Universal Matter to make any announcements when they happen. Thanks for your interest in graphene.

can these surfaces be permanently negatively charged to repel negatively charged particle?

negatively charged particles alone? they have same impact as positively charged particles.

no no i don't know the answer to your question and would also very much like to know it. but got curious of what kind of application a permanent negatively charged surface could have.

Dear Marshall, the patents are held by Rice University and can be licensed. Please note that there is great interest in using this technology and while I cannot speak on behalf of Rice University or prof. Tour, my assumption is that they will prioritize large scale companies that can exploit the patents over small start-ups or individuals. Just to set expectations if you wish to pursue a license.
