@@Youssef-td2si it did leave a bit of scarring, like a tint, over pigmentation kinda thing but it's subtle. Keep in mind though that everybody is different and it might heal differently for you, depending on placement too.

@@Youssef-td2si you're welcome! And to be honest I'm not sure, mine was like that on my neck and it left a bit of a scar but it's not really visible. You should consult a dermatologist about it and in general take into consideration how well your body heals to try and predict the results. Hope all goes well for you!🙂

It's not something we see often but hypopigmentation in the skin can occasionally happen after laser surgery, more commonly in darker skin tones. When it does it's usually permanent. For most patients, laser treatment is usually still preferable to surgical excision, where there will be a scar which can become raised, enlarged or become keloid. Our surgical team always discuss all possible outcomes before carrying out a procedure and if you've had treatment, hopefully your clinic did the same with you.

Biggest reason is potential cancerous cells remaining. Second is the likelihood of it reappearing. 1 percent chance after surgical removal, 3 percent chance after laser treatment.

If a mole is removed by laser on your lip, hair should usually grow back afters (though there's no guarantee). It might be helpful to know that, for comparison, if a mole is removed by surgical excision then hairs won't grow in the scar afterwards.

@@akiwinny5114 It depends. Some laser treatments go far, to even the roots of the mole. I had one done, they did as exactly as in this video, but much deeper into the skin. It took lots of time to get the root removed. It left a black "hole" and black skin around the area for like a week after it had been done. A month passed and the skin healed perfectly, no scar, no mole, nothing.

I just use a razor blade over my kitchen sink. It’s a lot faster, a lot cheaper, only takes five minutes of my time, and I get exactly the same results. Been doing it for 20 years with no issues at all.
