Both orbits can still be active even when you are in a weapon stance or a melee attack

I miss hooking up a missile system to my orbit weapon in the old games. You used to be able to fire orbit drones and missiles simultaneously in 3rd gen. I hope extension parts will make a return in a later installment.

I know, having cores with different features added an extra layer of customization for 3rd gen. Extensions making a return would be great, same with tuning.

I was so excited thinking I'd see coral orbitals unlocked after i saw ibis use them. the current ones are still cool, especially how they hover with you. i suppose it's a lore reason cause everything coral related we get was already part of an ac. i assumed they'd break the mold from older games and we'd get boss parts retrofitted to parts in this game like baltaus and others ect.

I use Laser Orbit in my Allmind build. It definitely keeps the DPS while you're waiting on your cooldowns on your other weapons

Can u try a Light build using the generator that buffs energy firearms by 150 use laser orbits with that and try to use speed to stay at range and evade damage? Will that work?

I've done a build like that: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4GldJ6uq913i68si=Yv27A2hAH4RAmL0Z Except the laser orbits aren't impacted by energy weapon specialization, so you're better off with other options like the build in that video if that's your goal.

Counter argument: Red lasers are cool lol. In all seriousness, it doesn't have to be as outrageous as what IBIS offers, but more variety in the coral arsenal would be nice.
