First, Id like to say that, I love your videos! My only gripe is that you use a windows pc. I mean I get why but what about us MAC people? WOuld be so helpfull to have a Full Mac Tutorial. I also know that I'm asking for way too much! lol. Anyway, you are awesome and have helpedme and our business tremendously!

We have a Mac that we plan on making some tutorials on in the future. Really, it comes down to personal preference (we only run Windows) and that the vast majority of the community also choose Windows. It's something we're working on for the future though.

This series has been very helpful, thanks. Since EZCad was not an installed app, it could be copied to another location and an entirely new set of configurations could be setup. This was great when more than one lens was going to be used on a machine. With LightBurn things are different. Changing lenses is a problem. Is there a why around this? We have a makerspace with many people using the equipment. Changing lenses can be a real hassle.

One thing I've wished for for a long time with LightBurn (CO2) is the ability (either offline or within the program) to merge library files. For instance, I have a bunch of LB library settings that are not part of the LM library. If I load the LM library, it will overwrite my existing library, blowing out all the entries I've created or tweaked over time. I'd love to be able to merge libraries, but apparently I'm the only one. This is the one reason I've avoided downloading updated LM libraries.

I would love this feature too... maybe I'll talk to the converter dev about it, should be easy enough to add.

The converter tool was recently updated (yesterday) with the ability to combine libraries. It's a tab at the top of the window.

Gotta say it. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Lightburn! Is there a way to nudge the artwork while framing to allow for position adjustments? This was performed with the arrow keys in Ezcad
@LaserEverything2 жыл бұрын
I can't test it at the moment but it SHOULD still be the arrow keys in LightBurn. If it's not working I'd recommend reporting it as a bug to the lightburn team on their support forum at forum.lightburnsoftware.com/

Yep, same struggle I'm dealing with. Super big bummer. And now my ezcad keeps throwing an error after downloading Lightburn lol.

If you didn't get prompted to install .NET runtime in the installer, and it complains, you will need .NET Runtime 6.0.5, newer won't launch the application, it's bound to looking for 6.0.5 vs 6.0.6(current at time of post)

I saw your laser academy and library, but don’t know if it supports any mopa parameters. Can you comment on that?
@LaserEverythingАй бұрын
They do indeed. MOPA is just a type of laser source, and for that, they are tuned around a 200 pulse width. If you specifically mean for different colors on stainless or titanium, no we don't cover that in our shared library. If you head to the Laser Everything website, there is a link to our shared library right on the homepage. It covers most wattage and lens combinations, for both ezcad and Lightburn. All made free, possible by the community support over at the Laser Master Academy, check that out too if you get value from the community resources :)

Another helpful video and I'm finally starting to get somewhere now my issues have been sorted , can you purchace your settings library or is it only available with a monthly subscription...thanks
@LaserEverything2 жыл бұрын
The settings are only available on the LMA but there's no commitment to remain a member for any particular amount of time.
@stevetaylor47772 жыл бұрын
@@LaserEverything thanks for the reply , I would feel too cheeky to only subscribe for a short period of time just to get the settings so I'll hang on a while until I can afford to purchase a years subscription

I’m in a Mac only env too. Any chance someone else has converted the Param file to 110/20W laser already? It’d be amazing if you had the library already converted into a few flavors for the No-Windows crowd. ;)

Loaded Version 1.3 of the converter and installed Net x64 6.0.10 and the program complains that I need Net x64 6.0.10. Unloaded and reloaded everything and the same problem exists. Initially I loaded the older version 1.2 which called for Net x64 6.0.5.. Did all that with essentially the same results. Running windows 11 on an AMD computer. Frustrating. What am I missing?

Will this work for a co2 galvo or just fiber
@LaserEverything Жыл бұрын
The process works for Co2 Galvo too. As an example though, converting Co2 Gantry to Co2 Galvo isn't, because that's a CW glass tube (generally), with a different lens type on gantry, to a pulsed RF tube and galvo lens type.
@erictimm6925 Жыл бұрын
@@LaserEverything Hey y'all! Just to be clear, does this mean we select Fiber in the converter if we have a CO2 Galvo?
