I had the procedure with thread lifts for my marionette lines. Had 10 threads inserted in my cheeks. It lifted my cheeks, reduced my marionette lines, made my face shorter and firmer. The procedure was not painful. I am doing it again for sure. Look 10 years younger, and my face looks the same, just younger.

I currently have Barbed PDO threads. It's literal magic for jowls and nasal folds. However, it hurt ALOT even with lidocaine injected. Prepare for a day or two off after. It hurts to smile, brush your teeth, eat. It cost $1500. I like the results but considering the cost, pain and not lasting that long I doubt I'd do it again.

I just got Matrix threads done yesterday with a fantastic injector. After numbing cream it was so quick and almost painless (just a tiny sting, very bearable). No bruising, swelling, pain at all. I'm getting hyperdilluted Radiesse next in 4 weeks as part of my treatment plan to build up collagen and firm up jawline/prejowls and Belotero for chin projection/v-line. It looks so natural no one can tell even 1 hour after treatment that anything was ever done...takes a few weeks to see the full results but I was a pretty good candidate as I am at the mild sagging stage with thick skin/fat levels at age 40. I do at-home chemical peels & Retin A, serums religiously and have a healthy diet/lifestyle/avoid sun exposure which also helps greatly 😉😁🤞

Red Led light mask, then tretinoin is worth a try. No pain. It’s a slow process but then any result is worth waiting for. It’s not as quick and impactful but then threading isn’t guaranteed either. I’ve been on the LedLight mask since Nov ‘20. (This is 8/‘21). I think the puppet lines are less now. I’m 73. In my area, using the “Rx” free coupon knocks off about 45$ for the tretinotin. Don’t rush the process as it’s slow in acclimating the skin. Now I can use these every day but that took months. No bruising, infection, uneven sides of the face, not noticeable. I mean, really, the thread can show!

@annlaceyrn2 жыл бұрын
I just had it done by a professional for free as a training class. It didn’t look like the above needles. Instead they numbed my face in a straight line from the top of my cheek bone to the bottom of my neck with lidocaine, which burned like crazy! Then they inserted the hollow tubed needles in six places, one at a time, from my check to my neck - they had to be about seven inches long - and pulled them out leaving the thread sticking out. They did two next to each other, twisted, Rubbed upward and pushed it beneath the skin. The results… enough pain to make it uncomfortable to eat for two days, sore, bruising type of pain, and pinching for a week. It almost feels like your face is fatigued so eating, talking and smiling are an effort. As for what I look like …… drum roll….I look like nothing ever happened!!!! An Infinitesimal difference… not a person would notice! I don’t even look refreshed. Verdict: Not worth it. Save a little more and get a lower face lift. Thank god I didn’t pay for this!!

@Dr Davin Lim: Please correct me if I'm wrong: Are You saying, that the new collagen (formed by fibrosis) will dissapear in 1 to 2 years? Does this mean, that those new filaments are not the same as 'regular' collagen filaments? They are temporary?? To put it short : new collagen forms around the Threads, but the build-up is temporary, it is not being build into regular collagen structures and after the thread dissolves, it slowly degrades, so after 2 years there is nothing left from the original collagen build-up? Not even 5-10%?? So it is more like a filler, not stimulator then. Total waste of money. I have been looking for this simple and precise answer for a while - and could not find it. There are no long term studies and esteticians fail to provide this information straightforward :-(. Thank You for very informative content btw. :)
