Before making your decision to have your cataracts removed...do research!!!! Although the large majority of people are happy with their outcome...I am unfortunately in that 1-10 percent group of people who are experiencing issues. One month ago, I underwent cataract removal on my right eye...a PanOptix multi focus lens was put in. The second eye (left) was scheduled for surgery the following week.. BUT, due to my poor results, i.e. extremely blurry vision (which is now worse then b4 the surgery!) it has been cancelled. I have been advised by the surgeon to be patient...that my brain is adjusting (called neural adaptation phase), swelling, sensitivity to light, dry eye, etc. is causing the fogginess. Now into my fifth week postop I've been advised that lasek will more than likely need to be done. I realize that my situation is an anomaly but I'm regretting having it done. Important note: my surgery was NOT performed by Dr. Mauro! In my effort to gather knowledge, this video popped up.
