Lasko 3733 Box Fan from 2009 or 2010

I own two of these. One has the yellowed handle and feet problem, but I didnt own it when it yellowed. I accidentally knocked a chip out of one of the blades on it though.I bought it dirt cheap at a thrift store along with a lasko whirlwind. My other lasko box fan is from a few years ago, i never put it in a window because I didn’t want it to yellow so it’s in really good condition. Even though they aren’t good quality, both of them are really powerful. In fact, so powerful I usually only run them on low.

Also now that I think about it, I would put a vintage one in. I say this because usually, vintage fans are more powerful, and are quieter, so they would work better. But if you do want to put in a modern fan, I’d put in your Lasko power plus or Weather Shield, because they are better.

A vintage one would be quieter and more powerful, but it would also be ruined from continuous sun exposure, and that is something I certainly do not want.

Jordan U yeah that’s why I’d personally put a power plus, or a weather shield select in the window. They are good fans, better than these.

Nice fan 👍 I have a slightly older lasko box fan from 2007 it's badly yellowed from being in the window but it still runs great.

that's cool Jordan that it has the hole in the fan hub mines have it to ... as well as my 9723 box air king box fan because it has the 3720 weather shield blade and my 3723 premium have it too lol good video and i enjoyed it

These fans are made with the type of plastic that yellows heavily when used in sunlight. The grills and blades only get brittle over time, not yellow.

I’ve noticed the blades get brittle, but thus far I haven’t run into that with any of the guards.

Nice! NGL, I actually like this fan for nostalgia because I have had childhood memories with lasko 3733s like this. But quality wise, these are cheap, but are a good value..

Jordan U another thing that bothers me is that some people will just say about these, and other modern fans is that “they are modern, so they are worthless, and it doesn’t matter if they die.” That bothers me because these and other modern fans are what I grew up with, since I was born in 2007. They also don’t realize that fans will probably get worse in the future. They will probably only be made out of plastic and cardboard haha.

I do because the yellowing is not just cosmetic, it deteriorates the integrity of the plastic.
