Interesting concept on the oscilation. I thought there was a motor to push the pin down inside the nacelle.

You might need to oil it. Does it spin freely at least?

@@fansgalorellc621 yes it does but powering the fon on will not do anything to the blade but it will illuminate the bottom remote thing

How about the motor, does it hum? If it hums it probably just needs to be oiled. If not, it might just be dead. Sometimes the fuses snap overtime.

I have that fan

Not that great a fan. The power supply/electronics board makes a loud hum noise when slowed to any speed other than high. It also doesn't have a very slowest speed and makes too much noise and wind. Some of the pedestal design magnifies the hum noise from the fan head unit. Other than this unnecessary noise and inability to run at slower speeds, a great fan. We took our back due to this. They need to reengineer the power supply with better components to minimized the hum and design a better speed ratio,

I have noticed it does indeed magnify that hum you mentioned. As for yours making noise like that, something was probably defective from it.

Not likely, we returned three of them after the same symptoms from them all.
