What if the difference in year is 10, like base year is 2000 and current year 2010, what do we do then? Do we have to take the time difference any where in the paasche formula?

You must have done calculations of fixed base method involving questions. The same rule applies here. Hope it helps!

You would calculate the index values the same. You can then find the total change over the 10 year interval. You could also talk about an average yearly growth over the 10 year interval but not specific growth rates per year.
