GATE score is valid for 3 years. Technically you can use the same score to get an MTech and then to get a job in PSU. But some PSUs ask for that same years scorecard for applying jobs. Eg.IOCL. Hence if PSU is your target, it's better to write it this year. You can take GATE exam any number of times.

Ofcourse, yes! Also, if you have relevant work experience in mechanical field, you can directly apply for PSU jobs with that experience without GATE, when they call for. AI&DS paper is good to get admission for higher education in IITs, NITs or IIITs. You cab go ahead. For PSUs, they expect CS paper, also I don't think any PSU has updated their norms to include AIDS stream for eligibility. Mostly they will ask for undergraduation in CSE or IT. Hence, I would say your option for PSU will be limited. Don't worry about it! Continue to focus with AIDS paper for GATE 2025. Your 2024 experience will help you. If possible write CS paper also. Aim for high marks and IIT for PG. You have good opportunities in private than in government as AIDS is growing.

1. Get a PYQ solved book for mechanical engineering that will be the best investment for prep. Also, there are certain books which includes theory also with PYQs. You can read reviews and get one. 2. Check if NPTEL videos help 3. Otherwise, better to use the books you used for semester exams, instead of starting something new at this stage. All the very best.

You can write mechanical engineering paper. However, pls check the utility of it. You can't get into PSUs for mechanical jobs. You need to have CS paper if you want psu jobs For MTech, joining thermal engineering after CS UG won't help right. I would suggest you to write something related to circuit branches atleast. That might help.

Source vise - get a pyq solved book for your dept. For free resources NPTEL videos may help. If you are planning to take coaching, you can take from any online academy. Regarding paper, for PSU jobs better to take exam in EE for your case. If its for PG, you can take CD paper also.

You can surely try. Generally GATE exam marks are given 75% weightage and interview is given 25% weightage. With 60+ marks, if you perform excellent in interview, there will be chance. Its always good to aim high marks

Yes, you can appear & get seats in NITs / IITs. However, it is not advisable to leave the job, you can try to prepare in parallel. Hi, it's good that you have started preparation. Yes, it's difficult to manage both placements and GATE in final year. I would request you to get prepared for placements soon and my wishes to get placed soon as well. It's important that we have get some job (boosts morale for GATE preparation also) Check if you can time block. ie. Daily morning 3 hrs for GATE revision. Evening 2 hrs daily for placement training with friends. Then again 2 hrs in the evening for GATE like that. It's hardwork thaan, but will surely help you. All the best.

Yes, you can! But I would suggest you to focus on the MTech in the first year fully. Anna University MTech itself is a very good opportunity. Learn a lot, select a project in advanced futuristic manufacturing technology, present in International conferences and try to publish a paper if possible. Create good network with your faculties, batch mates from all departments and even alumnus through LinkedIn. There are good placements from there itself. If you are very particular about PSUs then, you can prepare for GATE from second year along with project. All the best.

If you are going to do a Masters, which of them would you choose to do? Are you interested to pursue your full career in that field? Based on the answers for these questions you can decide on the subject for Masters, you can also take MSc Biochemistry itself. Now, because its a research-oriented subject, its better to do MSc. After that you can write NET to pursue research. You can also try for jobs in pharma companies in formulation, quality control, research etc. Hope this helps.

Most PSUs will look for traditional branches GATE score like CS instead of DA. You can use this score to get into some good ranked NIT or IIIT. From there you can look for private company placements.

GATE exam eluthalam. For PSU jobs, it's better to appear for Computer Science (CS) paper in GATE. Eligibility to job will depend on various PSUs sir. Many of them prefer BE/BTech or Integrated ME/MTech from IT / CSE engineering. It's better to focus on placements first and then on GATE in your son's case Sir. Integrated MTech is good degree, nalla skills develop panina, there will be good job opportunities with salary higher than PSUs in few years time sir.

sir, this is M Sudharshan. I have completed B.E.Mechanical Engineering in the year of 2023.... You can just prepare the first few pages having the formula and worked out problems. Practice few problems and move on to the next chapter. All you want first is to know the concepts and formulas. Then, keep on practicing exercises later.
