I was stationed at Zweibrucken AB(USAF) from '69-'72 and worked in the weather station for Air Weather Service. Witnessed these beasts day-in and day-out kick out of there after supplying weather observations to them. To this day I get goosebumps watching them in operation...amazing engines!

Great video, thanks for sharing. The F4 is one of the most beautiful fighters ever made together with the F-14. Lucky I have seen them quite often in the 80's when visiting Soesterberg AB.

I was at Jagdgeschwader 74 "Mölders" in '88+'89 in Neuburg/Donau Bavaria. Best time in my live! We also had the Phantoms serving the second squadron together with Richthofen JG 71.

I served in Neuburg from 2008 - 2009. The Phantoms were much more badass then those two Eurofighters we had

Siempre ha sido mi idolo el F- 4 phantom, ya se va quedando anticuado, pero ahi quesa su historia y sus records. Cuarenta años dando que hablar.. Fantastico.

One of the most versatile fighter Platforms in the world and this is the reason why they are still in the Boneyard in Arizona. The US has a fighter Gap right now you know we got plenty F-4 Phantoms waiting to serve in other roles.

I worked on the F-4s and other fighters in the 60s when in the AF and later in the 80s when I worked with Boeing in Wichita, Ks. I to will miss the old birds.
PHANTOM com a Cruz de Ferro alemã, na sua lateral, dá até vontade de abraçá-lo de alegria.

I did not know a Phantom could go vertical on take-of!! also if I'm not mistaken- their landing speed was 165kts. compared to the Intruders 125kts that is like landing on fire!

In Full Afterburner, the two J79 Turbine Engines burn 20 gallons per second. That's $100 of fuel per second or $6,000 of fuel in one minute.
