I love that you do this! My grandmother had a massive garden and she would do baskets for families, elderly, single moms, and people who were on their own that needed food and items.She raised bees, chickens, and made medicinal things.. She would also tell people her garden gate was always unlocked that they could come and pick things and do for themselves. She did this until she couldn't garden anymore.

My girlfriend came the other night and we were picking dahlias in the dark. She went home with buckets of dahlias. She works at the hospital and is delivering bouquets for bosses day. Growing stuff is fun but giving it away is even better.

This was a true blessing for my soul this morning! ❤️ The world has seemed so ugly these days in the news & on social media. Add to it that I work in healthcare & have seen so much grief, loss, and the life with this pandemic that I’m just so very weary & sad to see the sadness & depression all around us. Giving beautiful flowers, fresh produce & even cheerful pumpkins & bouquets on the doorstep or when shopping at the Garden Center - to complete strangers - is just confirmation to those who receive their beauty that there IS still goodness & empathy in others. And teaching civic giving & community service to Benjamin early will be such a blessing as he grows up!
