The Last Chance Archery HS4 Scale is the latest version of Last Chance's handheld scales. It records peak draw weight, holding weight and letoff percentage with every draw of the bow. It also can be set to function as a simple hand scale used to weigh fish, luggage or other objects.

I just used the scale today and it was easy to draw back and hold and then let down to see the poundage of the bow, the let off weight, and the percent of let off.

LCA, maybe you could put in writing what the accuracy rating is, especially for the price your asking. AAA batteries would also be nice as well.

You can, but you shouldn't. Those scales are meant to hook through a D loop. Without it, you run the risk of damaging the serving on your string. It'll be hard to draw to the same length on the bow from the hand scale to a regular draw.

Yes you most certainly can, I have their previous model I use to check my trad and barebow. If you want to make sure you’re drawing to the exact same spot each time mark an arrow and draw to that mark at the front of your riser each time.

@@YoureSoVane Weird because literally everyone I know does use these on their trad bows and barebows to check poundage. I’ve see the worlds top Oly shooters using the previous model by LCA to check it and oddly enough zero issues.

@@chadcousins2563 Maybe I'm just surrounded by too many weirdos who do Renaissance fair reenactments and shoot 70-80# longbows for fun... I'm sure the draw weight plays the biggest role, followed by string construction. The scale would work just fine, it's just concentrating the force on a single, small point. I do, however, find it difficult to see how you can get the same draw length using the scale as you would with your hands.

@@YoureSoVane Most bowyers will check poundage as a bows being build on some scale similar to this or one that’s basically a fish scale mounted to the ceiling. All have a hook that you pull down on with the string. As long as the hook has zero burns or rough edges you’re completely fine.

I liked the ergonomics more of the one before that then this one. Looks also. This looks cheap, wich I am shure is not just saying.. Looks like a prototype...
